Will Ingmar and the team be doing the Artwork in DD2 like they did in DD?
I love their work and I wished more of their artwork made it into DD.

This is my suggestion:
Hire Ingmar / the whole team to do the DD2 Artwork!!!

Ingmar left the Larian team shortly after the release of DD.

Don't forget that Marian was also responsible for some graphics - together with some others.

I hope that Marian, André, Alex, Stijn and Steward would not also leave the larian team.

I hope the whole staff of DD will come back, along with Rhianna Pratchett to make DD2 a huge success and a great game!

I only knew about Ingmar because he shared some of his art work with me.

Here’s my next question then, why doesn’t Marian, André, Alex, Stijn and Steward share some of their art work with us then?

The art work that you can share of course.
Please, please, please.

Marian's web site URL was written in runes on a manuscript in Divine Divinity.

Marian, I really love the way you used the Negative Space
in the creation of your Demon Illustration, Ink 1997 drawing.
It’s the perfect use of Light and Shadow.

Thanx, Kyra. But i have to disagree. Its was okay for the time i did it but my experience and skill improved a little since then. If you for instance check all the demons in that image their shape is lighted from all sides not only from where the fire comes. Today i would do this painting completly different.

Well, i don't know for sure, but i think he won't come back. Would be cool indeed to work again with our paladin. Ingmar was responsible for object artwork back then but he is also a good animator (the ascension cutscene he did almost alone). Furniture, lots of household stuff, plants, several icons, the roof of the abbey (or was it the castle?) and many other objects i don't recall right now are from him.
Btw here is the link to his homepage.

Btw Barta, Steward is also gone since several months. He wanted to do his own projects.

Marian

Maybe so Marian, but as an artist one is never satisfied with the final rendering of any of their drawings anyway are they.
Every time one looks back there is always another little detail that could be improved upon.
So what if your casts shadow was incorrect at that time and so what if the horizontal plane is a bit off.
I still like it.
Sometimes that raw look is a good thing as it is in this case.

Thank you for sharing

Thanks a lot for the link of Ingmar's homepage.
The section about his artwork from Divine Divinity is awesome.
I specialy enjoyed the picture of the source because i never saw it in the game.
The source
Did he draw the skate board on the roof of Stormfist castle ?

It is very sad for the insane fans when a Larian guy go away.
And he is not the only one great Larian who left after the release of Beyond Divinity.
But i understand that he has to live his own life and i wish him all the best for his new projects.

For the people who do not know Steward, this is the links of his "Peeks of the Week".

Actually i am. I was when we finished our argument in those good ol' days. But given Ingmars dedication 'til the end our part of this cutscene wasn't as big as his, right Hyver?

And I just mixed up things again... Which roof was it that Ingmar made?

In Ingmar's site there is a pic of the church.
The church
Maybe Ingmar has created the roof of the church ?

yeah, name the guilty ones! i would love to know who made the pretty textures for dungeon walls, who did the light sources (i love the glow of the torches) & who did those marvellous trees? yes, i'm a tree hugger!

at least i know Lynn did item placements, well that is according to my faulty memory of the series of articles for IGN.
