Can someone point me to a place to go?? I've been wandering around after getting an escort for the healers etc. But everywhere I go I get the crap kicked out of me. The thing in Dr. Elrath's basement kills me in 1-2 hits, thugs if more than 2 kill me in 2 seconds, elite orcs in the south kill me just as fast, etc. etc.... every single quest I've found as a monster, or a group of monsters that kill me so fast it's not even funny. I'm a level 10 survivor playing on hard with points in defense/sword... with a 18-43 stun(2) cutlass.

Did you visit Alix and solved the escort healer quest? Got the quest to visit Mitox?
What about a phase of peace? Verdistis has several non-fighting quests for you. Rivertown gets harder in monsters if you move east or south, that's just my humble opinion. I wouldn't tackle elite orcs as a 10er. But what about the farmlands and around the poor quarters. Can you deal with these orcs? (Take care of the thug lair in the west, though). Kiya

I did the escort quest, and have explored the whole farmlands. I think I might try going South now.... by the way was it a bad idea to pick Hard my first time through?? I'm just getting spanked by every guy I meet...

Sorry, I don't know your masochism level But going south: 2 Troll kings and entering the Dark Forest then as a 10er - hmm, suicide or masochism lvl 10?
I'd stay in the northern parts and avoid the Cursed Abbey, the steel archers in there will more than spank you... How do you deal with corpses and zombies, boars, bees, wolves, trolls etc? They are in the northern parts.

Haven't fought zombies, but I kill boars/bees/snakes/spiders relatively easily (as long as there isn't a crowd), and wolves give me a little trouble but it's doable.

In this the only thing you can do it's buy many potions of mana and heal potions to and use meteorstrike in all orcs you can gain more lvl with that, elite orcs is more dificult to kill but with meteorstrike lvl 2 you can kill then, try it. I in the same lvl now and i kill everybody with meteorstrike except steel creatures(use the lightining spell is more effective).
Who's gonna show you how to fly!

Yes, good point, if this survivor has magical abilitíes. What orcs don't like is freeze, then they can be scorched easily - and they are vulnerable to poison. I used freeze, then elemental hail - was lucky and bought a spell book very early in the game. Kiya

I tend to run around the northern parts of the map at this stage, just killing the wildlife (well, that's basically what you do). After that, I'd definately want Freeze before I start in on the orcs. If you can cope with corpses, scout around (but not in) the Cursed Abbey. If you can manage zombies, go to the graveyard south west of the poor part of Rivertown. Beyond that, try doing Marcus' quests because they are reasonably easy XP's.
