What would you like to see Larian add to BD, if they were to throw out another patch?

I been thinking a lot lately of what I like about NWN, BG, Arcanum --- all of these games allow for you to be able to import your very OWN custom portrait. I think it'd be cool to be able to use a custom pic of myself for a custom portrait in BD.

What do you think of that idea?
And do you have any other suggestions for what you'd like to see in the next BD patch?

I don't really know but,

. I'm doing it. Restarting Beyond Divinity right now. Let me find the disc.

edit: man, I still have the bug where the imp hero never runs to his wife and my heroes are jsut stuck standing there, waiting for him to stop running, and I can just press exit. Guess I'll have to restart, man, I was really looking forward to playing from my near act 3 position.

Yes! I installed the patch and was able to keep going! I just need to get the mushroom in the cave, and then beat the shaman and I'll be in act 4, and I'm playing hardcore of course.

w00t, thanks Larian for the current patch.

1.47 really fixed a lot of little noticable bugs... and the ones that are not fixed are OMO not too serious.... some facial paint.... (not that most people would notice it)... a few small changes to specific objects' behaviour (there are 2 places i know of where you can lockpick, shoot, loot through a wall, get shot through the wall, shoot through the wall, but not WALK through the wall)

Small things....

Fix the ring-shaped bone spear. (To be found in certain parts of the battlefields).

Fix the bug with the imp in Act 2 (the Hero).

Maybe i will shock some members here but i wish that the patch 1-47 will be the last one.
All the major bugs have been fixed and if there are still some minor bugs and some glitches in the game, it's not very important.
Beyond Divinity will have 1 year in three or four months and most of the gamers have already played this game.
In my opinion, it would be a lose of time and money to work on new patches for this game.

I wish that the Larian team uses his full time for working on Divinity 2.
I hope that Divinity 2 will be a very great game and i don't care about new patches for Beyond Divinity or Divine Divinity or LED wars.

If a lot of gamers are very interested by this new feature maybe it could be implemented in Divinity 2 or in the "Secret Project".

Basically I agree, but I also believe that "Quest-Breakers" should have the highest priority, because they disturb/corrupt/break gameplay.
Imho they should be fixed - like the hero.

Hmmm the Hero has a quest breaker that i dont know about????

I think most of the quest breakers are fixed.... the ones thats still there, are the kind that you SHOULDNT encounter, unless you do something out of the ordinary.... (i know teleporting out of some areas, while not leaving a stone there, is one such common quest breaker, but other than that i havnt encountered any after the patch. (except 1 in act 4 which is caused by ignorance - and before you think that i am discriminating against ignorant people... i got caught in this MANY MANY times). The others i havnt been caught in once... so either i am lucky, or they are fixed.... and since 1.47 i have been through the game 2x and am busy a 3rd time (now tryin the impossible... with 2 sorcerers... and i can FEEL my stupidity this time).

IMO, i agree with Barta... this should be the last patch.... the sooner they release Dd2, the sooner we can have some more fun again

IIRC there are very few bugs left that doesnt have a work around or a fix of some sorts.... so Larian should move on and make some more money

Well, it's not actually a !quest breaker" - but sort of, imho. You can't klick on the Hero while he's talking to the other Imps.

Well, you *can* klick on him, but that's bit tricky.

And only when you do so, the whole quest is actually solved (at least that's my opinion).

The hero for me would just run off but I'd never regain control of myself.

I think 1.47 should be the last patch, its fixed most of the quest breakers I believe and they need to devout their time to DD2 and the secret project, much more important IMHO now that the other stuff is fixed.

hmm... i agree with barta and with all those agreeing with barta...

i may be not so well-informed but from what i've been seeing in france BD has more or less disappeared from the greatest shops catalogs...(even before 1.47 french equivalent was released)

and i suspect it may be more or less the same with the same in other countries so people who will discover BD will be fewer and fewer (except if new budget versions are scheduled for soon)... no reason they have an exhorbitant privilege with a new patch

bugs are fun and a totally bug free games a sweet dream...

anyway larian has enough work to do with DD2 and the "secret project"... yep, it's urgent as we are all losing patience maybe the next step will be a general strike on these boards

That's be cool if Divinity 2 supports custom portraits. I love seeing my picture in the game in the stats for character profiles, for selecting who is in the party, etc etc -- like in NWN, BG, Arcanum, etc etc.

But really, if I wanted to make Divinity 2 suggestions, I'd go all out w/ more suggestions in the other thread.

I can only guess then, that it hasn't to do with language or it has something to do ith the publisher. I don't know.

speaking of new patch for BD, i think maybe it's justified.

for my case, i have found a game-stopping bug. & it works like this;

Spoiler: Spoiler : When meeting Oren in Act 3, he was way off from his designated camp (one with bedding & campfire), fighting monsters in the area. After getting quest from the imps who want Oren eliminated, i approached Oren which i have to click on him to initiate the speech option. he mentioned about betrayal & then attacked me. after i disposed him, i walked some distance close to his designated camp, a cutscene camera pan took over & then just stuck at the spot where Oren should be. the game went stuck forever till i exit or reload. i managed to duplicate this situation another time which i have no doubt that once Oren moved away from his designated camp, the cutscene problem will crop up.

A SPEED SLIDER!!!

Combat happens too fast on my comp (ran about right on my friends) even with 8x Anti-alias and 8x anti-sotropic... The people run too fast... it just messes up the pace of the game and makes it feel jarring and less immersive.

This is about the biggest gripe I have that can be fixed easily... the others are major flaws that I percieve in terms of voice-acting and game design (seriously, go back to and take another peek).

Otherwise, go full steam ahead with II and LOOK BACK AT !!!
