Playing the game again:D

And I think i`v jumped the gun here, and there`s no early saved files..

What i done is talked to the followers, and they gave me a book.then i went and got the key.
<span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>went into Nericons Garden and killed the frogs,opened portal.but not talked to the statue</span>
(just drag your mouse over the blank space)

Now the statue wont talk,so i cannot complete that part of the quest..
The quest is there,it does not say failed.
I`v also lost the book as well lol..

So is there anyway i can complete this quest???

Or you dont talk to that statue,it`s something else??
Thanks

Look here

I dont think that it is Necessarily to solve this Quest.
This is what Kiya write on her site to this.

Quote
Enter this garden and go to the statues in the NE part. SAVE, you've only got one chance now. This statue asks you 3 questions, the answers are in the book. If you answer correctly: 1 "Restoration" spell level - if not? Punishment by lightning.

The only other thing is this

Read it good, and follow the Instructions.
There is an Fix to get the Key and the Book, maybe this works.
But if not, i think the Quest is lost.

It would be nice to have another solution to it though..

Tony, if you don't want to swap inventory files and don't know where you placed the book, you can't solve this quest.

[color:"yellow"] The book has to be in your inventory or the statue remains silent.

It plays no role that you might have read it and kept the proper answers in mind, sorry.

Kiya puts up one post and she gets so many ('Welcome Backs'. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/XmasJump.gif" alt="" />)

It seems you all like her a lot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />. I have never seen much of Kiya around, except for an old website on DD (with a lot of broken links <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />).

Well, Kiya's site still is a fountain of knowledge, and we all use it in support of answering newcomers' questions.

Which reminds me - this is a help thread, not a lost and found thread for (temporarily) absent members.

Well, Wallace, it's because she's the king... Erm, queen of this forum! More or less... If you've ever been a noob you can't help but like her <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. And then you start posting in other parts of the forum and starts to like her of other reasons...

You are right. I had to change my provider in January 2004, so the links are broken (I posted this a lot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ). You just need to do this: if you see an old link from me with

http://www.kiya1.via.t-online.de/images/Runes.html

just remove this: .via.t-online. and the link will work.

http://www.kiya1.de/images/Runes.html (you might have to refresh your browser cache with F5)

see?

Another problem was this => the Larians changed their links as well, so if you see an old link like this:

http://lariancom.siteprotect.net/ub...&sb=3&o=&fpart=1

just remove/modify lariancom.siteprotect.net

http://larian.com/ubbthreads/showfl...&sb=3&o=&fpart=1

see?

Chill Kiya...

I was just trying out my reverse psychology skills on you so that you get motivated to update your (otherwise) very useful website.
However instead of updating it you wrote a post on how to go about your website...
So.. No enthu left. huh. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

[color:"orange"] So it worked

No - it did not

The reason the old links appear all over the forum is that they cannot be edited after 48 hours. So whenever someone uses the search function and stumbles over the old posts, he will also find the broken links - links broken due to system and provider initiated changes, as Kiya explained to you - also that there is no way she could possibly fix that, much as she would have wanted to.
