OP ifontok stranger Joined: Apr 2005	good day! finally finished the game, phew! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> the ending cinema, is that all there is to it?.....or are there other ending cinema?......and what was that bout that statue falling infront of zandalor and arhu? by the way, the ending fight was not like something i had expected. the annoying thing though is running all around the place just kill this black member or that; or flick this or that lever. anyway, thanks for a great game Larian. i just wish the next one Divine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> II will be greater game than this one. not something like <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> thanks again Larian <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> Life is what you make it...............

Raze Support Joined: Mar 2003 Location: Canada	The publisher rushed the release of the game, so the final area ended up being primarily hack and slash, with a mostly empty village and no quests. There is only one ending cinematic. Posted by Marian in another topic; Quote sigh I would have never thought that the language of pure image is so hard to understand. We have to think about that in the future... MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD! Ascension "Blessing" cutscene After you got sacrificed by the council of seven your spirit awakes in a divine realms on an altar. Around you the ideas of the seven gods are manifesting. You can roughly separate impish, human, elven or orcish gods... Everyone of them grabs into their chest and puts a small part of the heart into your weightless shape. After you received all blessing the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> in you is fully developed and so her wings grow and she flies up to the mortal plane where she descends as the reborn hero into the wastelands. Extro scene You see the demon of lies dying. In fact you see the mutiliated body of janus ripped into pieces and the leftover, the sword of lies, remains. It comes closer and tries to seduce the hero. The hero is tempted to take it but refuses and sends it back to hell away from the mortal plane. Then the hero hears the cries of the baby. Knowing that it is the lord of chaos inside the child he/she draws the dagger to kill it. In the hero's moral struggle to kill a neborn innocent child the scene fades out. Much later you see the hero walk out victorious into the swamp area. He carries something. Loot? The child? You don't know for sure... Somewhere on a distant hill Arhu and Zandalor watch you coming when suddenly the statue you lifted up in the sky while entering the katacombs of aleroth comes down finally...(side joke, nothing more)

arbitor apprentice Joined: Apr 2005 Location: Leeds, England	i liked the ending, it make you wonder so you want to play the next one. god im annoyed that i dont knwo whether he killed th baby or not. he probably didnt, but my character has killed an entire dwarven town (dont ask) and why should he have trouble with the human manefestation of an evil lord who wouldnt even think twice about killing 100,000,000 babies. p.s. if u cant wait for dd2 try neverwinter nights awesome game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> Ryan the rhino Wright

Raze Support Joined: Mar 2003 Location: Canada	You find out in Beyond Divinity what happened to the baby. <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>The baby from the end of DD is the main bad guy in BD (20 years later). The Divine One spared his life, hoping that by raising him properly, the aspect of the Lord of Chaos would not be allowed to grow and take control.</span> (highlight the text to read)

Zergaloth stranger Z Joined: Jan 2005	Just finished the game 5 minutes ago, and I must say I was a little disappointed about the wastelands-thing. I know they had to rush the whole thing, but come one, there's only 3 characters there to talk to. Two of them are worthless, being the peeprone orc and his mate. Really, what a bummer. I'm just not satisfied now, after the whole visit to Rivellon, which was beautiful and had many quests and things to discover... Oh and maybe because I had so much trouble slaying the Black Ring and then finished the Demon of Lies in a mere 15-second fight which included 19 lvl5 Scorpion Traps... Oh well - Beyond Divinity is installing right now.... I heard it isn't as nice as Divine and sometimes too much of a dungeoncrawl... we'll see.

Life is what you make it...............
