Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General A somewhat familiar sword?

When I was exploring the terrain around Aleroth with my new Warrior character, I came upon a broken sword. When my warrior saw it, it walked towards it and said:
"This sword looks somewhat familiar"
There was a orc corpse lying around 5 feet next to the sword ( 5 feet in DD )
I made 4 pic's of the location and sword:

Can anyone tell me what to do with this sword, since I can't pick it up orso, and what I can do with it?

It was there you was in the "intro" of course! If you pick upp the arrow, you will start jumping <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> (SPIKENOX07 said it, the last post)(jumping character)

You are not suppose to be able to pick the sword up or do anything with it. It is just a reference to the intro video, and shows where the cat lead Joram, who in turn brought you to Aleroth to be healed.

i dont think it has anything to do with the point the game started there. why? well i not even played the game to an end and already saw 3 such swords. the one is the same as where wyutse found it. the second one in the catacombes in aleroth(4th level, in SW of the room where you go to level 5) and the third one i cant remember. when i saw that sword i had already seen the one in the catacombes and so i think its just cause its already been seen on another spot. first i tought it could show there is a secret passage between them or something like that but after hours of resaerch still nothing.

I don't think it's something special about these swords, they are only there to fill-up in the game (battles or so) (there are alot of broken things on the "battlefield"(and corpses)).

it's only so where you can see where/if it has been a battle just there.
(And the special about this battle is, "You fought in it".
