Hello, Imion ! Yes, I'm still active ... And, no, I have the the display of the avatar pictures turned off, so I don't see them anymore.

Why don't you drop a few words in the German Chat ? Sisaya is also still there ...

Back to Topic. I read in a German Pc-Game Magazine that Divinity 2 will be released in 2006 (i think it was 4.quart. 2006) Is that correct?

That is the first I've heard of any release date for DD2 (excluding a couple game web sites that enter their best guess if they don't have that information). Nothing official has been announced (or even hinted at) in the forum.

This information about the release of Divinity 2 in 2006 was true................ 2 years ago !

[color:"orange"]on 24/02/2004 Fragland.be interviewed Swen Vincke
14. How far are you with the development of Divinity 2?
Divinity 2 won't be ready before the 4th quarter of 2005, or perhaps the first quarter of 2006.

Now we can't expect Divinity 2 in 2006.
And Larian is not in the list for the E3 Expo in may 2006.

I, of course, remembered that interview, but since estimates at that early stage are pretty much speculative, I did not count it. Ya, that's it.....

what do you refer to Barta? I looked it up ones agaian, and it was the German "Pc Games" which wrote under its column "releas dates": "Divine Divinity 2 (2006)"

And they also assure that on their web page (German)

But as Raze said it could be their best guess just as well.

1- There is no official announcement of the game. No press release.

2- The game don't have an official name. Lar used to call it "Divinity 2" (not Divine Divinity 2) but now the Larians say "our next game"

[color:"orange"] Lynn :
We wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! To celebrate, we've uploaded a wallpaper and an exclusive screenshot from our next game.

Drealmer :
Amongst other things, the ground texturing system is still work in progress, this screenshot is not representative of the visual quality of the final game

3- The next game has no web site. We just know that Larian bought the domain name : www.divinity2.com

4- No registration for the next E3 expo. No interviews about the game.

It's why i can't believe that the release of Divinity 2 could be at the end of the year (only 10 months).

Anyway i am a great fan and i will be patient.

That goes for me too. No matter how long it takes, I'll be there when it's done.

I hope the next version DOES NOT contain starforce you dont need that piece
of crap protection on your games, you have made good sales and you have a massive
customer fanbase.

I was truelly pissed off to find that starforce would not allow Beyond divinity
to work on my win64 system what a waste of money

I think larian is smart enough to dont get a publisher wich forces them upon starforce (again). many people really dislike sf and i think it will be about a -25% sales becouse avery protection can be cracked and many people dont buy games with sf. PLZ larian use another system

I really never had any trouble running Beyond Divinity. There's just the cd-check and immediately afterwards, the game begins. Trackmania Sunrise also uses starforce protection and I never had any trouble starting that game either.

Perhaps you have a pc that works fine with starforce.. you could easily
upgrade and suddenly find its a different story

Though it is true starforce does more damage to the customer than the pirate
look how many games are illegaly released that have starforce clone or not
but avoiding the warez conversation i just hope that larian doesnt use
starforce next time round.

They have such a huge fanbase they DONT need hardline protection

True, true. Though I won't pause a second to buy the next game if it does have starforce protection.

In my opinion, there are enough "rubbish cheap wrecks" out there, even without Starforce.

Well.. my guess is DD2. If you check one of the screenshots you can see a sign that says "Aleroth" and "Verdistis". And if you look closely at the sword on his back you will see a sword that looks very alike with the loading-sword in Divine Divinity. However, they could try to give us a false clue

I believe they weren't happy with the name 'Divine Divinity'. Maybe they want to go in another direction this time.
