I don't think these cheats will count as spoilers that kan ruin the fun of your game. The lockpick thing is a hint, not a cheat.

-Slasher-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In a quest you get from an Orc in the Aleroth catacombs you are asked to retrieve an axe called Slasher. You will find slasher deeper in the catacombs.

When you find it, instead of going to the Orc with it, put it in a chest/barrel back in Aleroth. Then go to the Orc and say that you have found Slasher. You will give it to him even though you don\'t have it in your inventory. He will kill an Orc to test it and go back to the Orc camp. Now you can go back to your chest/barrel and get the axe. Then you will have the Axe and completed the quest. If you want you can sell it, or keep it untill you are strong enough to use it.

-Magical Lockpicks--------------------------------------------------------------
After you join the Thieves Guild Verdistis you can get a quest from a guy named Finnigan (The bartender of the Guild). The quest is called "Bring Finnigan his magic lockpicks." You can find the lockpicks inside one of the tables inside the Town watch (Don't let the commander see you taking them). After you have found the lockpicks you can choose either to keep them or give them to Finnigan. By keeping them they will add +20 to your agility and you will never run out of lockpicks, and by giving them to him you get his spare (normal) lockpicks and experience.

Instead of keeping them, you should give them to him and get his spare lockpicks. If you trade with him right after you gave them to him you will be able to buy them from him for 35 gold (Depending on his attitude to you). After that you can sell all your normal lockpicks since you won't need them. You will earn experience, agility, money and time by doing this.

IIRC, you can also just drop slasher on the ground before talking to the orcs in order to keep it.

Note that if you did not install the patch before starting the current game, Finnigan will not sell you back the magic lockpicks, so you will have to choose between completing the quest and keeping the lockpicks (or 'cheat' to replace them, see below).

Lost Items - guide and directory of inventory files: ignore the first reference to Finnigan's lockpicks, which directs you to a different topic, and see a reply further down. Since the latest patch, this is the best way to replace them.

The Slasher trick is a neat one; it really is a good axe, worth keeping.
