Some quests are doomed to fail (i.e. mountain trolls) but is there an outcome for every quest? For example to find out who murdered Duke Ferol. It is obvious that it is the Black ring but how to prove it? Or to steal Sir Patrick's deed although there is no access to many rooms in his mansion.

I do not need answers how to complete the quests but only a Yes (every quest has an outcome) or No. Thanks

Yes, every quest ends somehow. Why would Larian put a quest that could not be solved? Some quests may be hard to solve.

On every quest you will either succeed or fail. There's always some way to bring it to a close. There are some quests where you always fail it.

Sometimes by choosing whether you can do or fail a quest, you also choose a sort of reward.

Yes there are rewards for failing quests or other benefits.

Could you expand on that?

Yeah ok, but you still finish the quest right.

Indeed. Yeah ok, so you can say that quest is "doomed to fail", but it's not like the quest has no outcome. The goal just changes.
