Hi all!

Right, I think i've made a big mistake.

The thing is, I had too much stuff to carry (to the point where I couldn't pick anything else up), I just happened to be near the inn in Verdistis so I rented a room, and put a lot of my stuff in the chest in there including the sword which just happens to be one of the ancient items (y'know where I have to have all 3, lose 2 and gain a really powerful item), anyway, I left the inn, completed a few quests (which took me a while).....Only to go back to the inn to find that all my stuff in the chest had disappeared! Including the chest.!!? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

So....basically, I just want to know if there's any way that I can get my stuff back WITHOUT having to go to an earlier save where hardly any quests have been done?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

MageUK - I'm not sure if it will help, but did you pay the new rent again? Maybe your chest will appear again?
IIRC, this happened to a gamer in the Ducal Inn, too (old forum) - and he got his stuff back this way.

I'm holding my thumbs it was just the rent - and not a disappearing chest due to wong weight calculation...

Was the chest simply gone when you came or did it vanish when you clicked on it?

When I was first shown to the room by the woman (I forget her name now)the chest was at the foot of the bed...When I went back there was no chest at all I hadn't clicked on anything I noticed the change as soon as i'd gone into the room.

So, paying the rent didn't help? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> Raze's link will at least give you back the Holy items. Sorry, no further help known to me.

Well, I've now managed to get my chest back!

The first time I went back nothing happened, but I reloaded and paid the rent again and voila...Instant chest!

when my chest disappeared all i had to do was repay the rent and i got it back.
