Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Savegames not showing in loading screen

HELP!!!

I had a crash a while ago, wich caused the game to crash every time I started it. I fixed it by re-installing but now my savegames are not showing anymore in the loading screen!

I tried re-installing it again, and a lot of other tricks I found at the forum, but they still won't show up.

I was about to go to the Dark Forest after completing the quests from Verstitis, and I have the correct number of files (27) in my savegame folder.

Anybody have any idea's? It would be REALLY crappy If i had to start all over again! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Did you back up your save folder or did you just delete it when you uninstalled the game?

Yes I backed up the entire savegames folder before I uninstalled the game, and copied it back after I re-installed the game

Did you reinstall the patch?
Some re-release versions of the game may already be updated to the latest 1.0034A version, as shown in the bottom right corner of the main menu, so would not need to be patched.

Could you maybe have copied it back to the wrong location by accident? It should be '..\Divine Divinity\Run\savegames'. If you zipped the save folder before uninstalling and extracted it afterwards, there may be an extra folder in the path (ie '..\savegames\backup\<save folders>').

If you start a new game and save, does that show up properly, or get the old saves displayed?
