In theme with the random threads that we have, I was inspired by this afternoon's snack to ask:

What are you eating right now?

Or, for those lack immediate nourishment/comfort:

What did you eat most recently?

I don't know what I just ate. It was in the shape of a three-sided pyramid. It was wrapped in banana leaves. I think it consisted of some sort of sweet bean mixture encased in a glutenous-rice membrane. I have never seen a substance quite like it. I could put my fork into it as though it was nothing, but I'll be buggered if I could tear it. I could lift the thing off the plate, twist the fork three times and it would still revert back to its original shape.

what am i eating right now?

crackers with me tea. specifically High Fibre Crackers with Earl Grey Tea.

what did i eat the most recently?

sadly it's noodles. i need to get off it as much as possible so i can reduce my carb intake & also i need to increase my veg intake too. it's really sad when u eat out most of the time.

@ HEF -> i think i know what that is - over here we call it 'chang'. u can have all sorts of fillings in it - red beans, pork cooked in soya sauce with chestnut & mushroom, etc. u can say chinese food are very carb-rich.

LOL HeF you crack me up with some of your more typical aussie slang "I could put my fork into it as though it was nothing, but I'll be buggered if I could tear it."
I know it is just so well so aussie to see it on the forum, I can nearly see you sit there trying with that fork

Hmm well in regard to me ... well I work in a Seafood Restaurant, I am however a seafoodarian <read allergic to seafood and dont smile it is very sad )
thus tonite I had what I think my French Chef likes to call "Australianised Boeuf Bourguignonne"
Basicly Beef with lotsa mushrooms and gravy

Strict vegetarian--no meat, fish, poultry or eggs or anything containing anything derived from them. I do use milk and cheeses, but the cheese must be rennet free.

I had a salad for lunch.

My wife is the best cook in the world.

Because of my jaw surgery, my jaw is wired shut. I can't eat.

Mostly I've been eating food liquified into a soup. And milkshakes.

The most recent thing I've had was some Ensure. Its one of those Meal-In-A-Drink, drinks. It tastes funny.

I'm four weeks of having it wired shut, and I still have two and a half to go.

Liquids, here I come!

<creeps-out> I'd ask why your jaw is wired shut, but I really don't want any details. If you do say why, please put it in a spoiler tag. <shivers>

I just had some Sultana Bran and orange and mango juice for breakfast. Soon there'll be coffee and crumpet. Breakfast seems so small since I exercise less...

Most recently (well over four hours ago), I had what is basically a beef stew.

The stew, the beef, the potatoes, the veggies, etc, all liquefied in the blender (zero chunks) so that I could drink it. It was DELICIOUS . Gotta have more!
