Yah.. you got it right.. this is like on the other threads which tells that "I didn't like oblivion iv.. but I also give one 2 reasons...

1. It isn't pretty.. didn't like the colors.. they were kindof bit gloomy.
2. The character creation screen like one hour for me.. (and I wasn't yet satisfied with it)... they game me so many options... haven't they heard of decorator pattern or something.
3. I couldn't figure out how to level up.. or how to use my skill points after leveling up.. or maybe I didn't try much <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Haha! This is cool.

When something is so well liked by many, it must be equally disliked by many, and shouted about.

Let's ignore all of the REAL crap games out there cos they are no fun to complain about as no one plays them anyway.

Actually I think Oblivion is a great game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

For the record, the game is not called "Oblivion IV". It is called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Oblivion was a great game, but I couldn't get into it much. I loved Morrowind, but I was hoping they'd improve it with Oblivion... they tried, but they didn't improve enough. They had expensive voice acting, but for all the big actors, it still didn't sound medieval at all. The world appears far too civilised and the characters are all so shallow. The quests are very nice and the graphics are very detailed, but the combat system is dreadful (the worst part of Morrowind, so they had to know they would have to do better this time) and the 3rd person models are ugly. Why can't I have a tall, lean character? Oh, and the Oblivion things were always the same thing, it was boring. They just put those in there to significantly increase your playthrough time without actually having to add content to the game. Another negative was the character advancement system, which was overly simple and didn't adjust to player specifications. The sneaking, dialogue, quests and archery were the best things about Oblivion. They were done extremely well.
