I searched the forum and no matches came up for stun stacking. Does anyone know if you have points in the passive Stun spell, will that stack with a weapon that has say stun (4)? In other words can you get a higher % chance by having both types of stun?
I am curious about this.

It may depend on what's your latest patch but from my games, I noticed a major difference between the skills i.e fire damage, and when a weapon you found actually was imbued with these effects i.e sword, damage 60-90, abilities: fire damage (3). While with the skills it gives a percentage chance (fire damage level 1 5%), when imbued as a weapon ability it had a 100% chance of taking effect, the level only affecting the effectiveness. With stun however, I'm not really sure, but I don't think they stack up, it probably just takes whichever level is higher between the skill in your skill tree and the level on the weapon. That's how it was with my patch (not sure what #). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The chance of each version of Stun being applied is calculated separately, so that part does stack. I don't know if the effect stacks if both versions are triggered, or if just the larger is applied.

A word of warning; mixing any two of Frost on a weapon, Stun on a weapon and the passive Stun skill can sometimes result in creatures hanging in mid death animation, and not dropping items or giving experience. An area effect spell that doesn't need a target, such as Hell Spikes, can force the animation to end, though. Some people also reported that waiting a bit or sleeping would also work.

Thanks for the replys guys. I found the hellspike spell does indeed get the animation to end in most cases.
