I'm pretty far in Act II and than i noticed... i think i played with useless skills for a long time.
You see my char has a shield and a slashing sword.
However i put my skillpts in one handed with slashing weapon. Not shield with slashing damage.
Does this mean i never got any of the bonusses to my attack from the skills?

Don't forget that if you are unhappy with a skill you can unlearn it. This will cost you gold, but you'll have the skillpoints back, which you can use to learn a new skill. (See page thirty seven of the manual.)

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yeah i know. So basically points in one handed are wasted when using a shield. I have to use shield/slashing if i use a shield + a slashing longsword?

Sounds logical, but I'd have to double check. I'll play some Beyond Divinity this weekend and have a look. Can't really do it now as I'm working on div2 In between checking the forum that is. wink

Thanks.
Lol hadn't yet noticed you were a developer.

'One Handed' and 'One Handed With Shield' skills are separate, so you do not get a one handed slashing skill bonus if you have a shield equipped.

With regard to Belgian chocolate: for some weird reason Americans are developing the idea that it is France which produces the best European chocolate, not Belgium. Sad but true.

A generation [...] now stood under the open sky in a countryside in which nothing remained unchanged but the clouds, and beneath these clouds, in a field of force of destrutive torrents and explosions, was the tiny, fragile human body.(Walter Benjamin)
