Not sure if this has been asked before, but it just dawned on me and I figured I would go ahead and ask myself. Is there a day/night cycle and weather system present in Divinity 2? Thanks.

There is a day/night cycle; I don't know if it effects anything besides lighting, though. I don't recall anything being mentioned about weather.

I do hope there is weather. Nothing like a little rain storm to add to the atmosphere.

I also hope theres some effects like rain.
Some early build pics of lighting effects, although it seems like it could be seasons due to different colour off leaves and grass or consequences from the choices you made.

no different colours., not as far as textures go anyway.

What you see on those screens is different weather and time affecting postrender effects such as overlaycolour and bloom effects.

Bloom effects ?

More flowers popping up from the grass after a good rain ?

When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.

LOL, no. Bloom is like a shader effect that devs use.

There are no Day/Night Cycles. There are areas, where it's always blue (I think this is suposed to be night), while others have always bright sunlight.

There is a lot of different coloring, but no, no cycles, only areas. At least in the first region.

I'd be surprised if there were no weather effects at all. At the very least it might be scripted like in Divinity 1 where it rained only a few times for dramatic effects. Was hoping to hear from Larian about this, I'm sure there will be some rain or snow effects and lightning.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

There is wind. It's part of a quest.

well, that's something smile

hopefully this can be patched later on, since day/night cycle adds alot to the games immersion.
