I agree! Shining equipment is funny and makes games more fun. Also, you're able to see in the dark, which every adventurer needs. Although, stealth is out. Sad days for the assassins in the crew. frown

It depends. I remember the kind of slimey glow enchanted things had in Morrowind. I thought that was absolutely dreadful. I also prefer to do withtout all the bloom and stuff. Realism doesn't have to be dreary and barren.

glow may dark
Realism is right, but not about our world,it about real DIVINITY
frame isn't the only one, but something powerful must be
Look at the top of the website,a cool man, whose eyes was shining,it let me know who is powerful
these eyes also in the game?
now look at the shoulder pad. Too lowly isn't? Exhale some Dark or Light, more momentum
Dark or Light not only about halation/fumes/smoke/light,mix them

a high AI company will more interesting,
AI not about AI...it about human, what is when some one with you,and no only when some one with you, some one have something himself

action play a important role in something about Realism...or Unrealistic,no more R or U,they were nothing, games just create something about itself, but for us.SO ,what is the action in our dragon man?Be like us?Of course NOT,i don't like when some one face a monster some one takes a sword doing some unlimited one motion
i think action in TES is insipid,.....do not pat me...=_=
we know,so much cool motion in so much film,bu no more in ARPG...
special character must be special
hope physics skill can be magnificent & exciting ,also magic

god ,i'm taking a dictionary

these eyes also in the game?

Yes, they are part of being a dragon slayer. Your character gets the glowing eyes near the start of the game, and can then see ghosts.

Shining Equiptment can be great in the right kind of Environment.
For example, take Dragon Age Origins. Dragon Age Origins is Dark Fantasy, its brutal, the whole world is gloomy, the whole world has suffered a lot from a war... And now imagine a guy who is shining blue/green/red from each part of his armor. It would just not feel right.
And now look at World of Warcraft. Its got comic graphic, mighty enchants, and the right universe. A guy whos got fireballs on his Shoulders and a blue glowing weapon doesnt seem out of the ordinary.

I personally rather think Divinity 2 fits more in category 1.
Shining equiptment wouldnt seem right in my eyes.

Yeah, that was truly horrible! The mod to remove that glow effect was the most important Morrowind mod^^ Sacred 1 had a very similar and equally dreadful glow effect on equipment when the right (or rather wrong in this case) combination of items gave you a resistance bonus. So basically each time when equipping new items, or enchanting old ones, I had to puzzle out how not to get the resistance bonus and with it that dreadful glow effect. That was a kind of mini game in itself.. arghhh!!!

Please no glowing armor!

yeah. Felt the same thing about stuff like weapons in NWN and such... you couldn't use elemental damage on your weapon or it would turn into a flaming torch or a sword with lightning playing around it... I don't want or need stuff like that... even WoW knows better than to do that stuff.
