just wondering, anyone going to GamesCom?

i presume Divinity 2 won't be preset at GamesCom, now that the german version has already been relased?

You should read this thread about dtp / D2 in gamescon smile

Short words, DTP stand will be there, D2 will be playable and rumors say that the release date for english version will be anounced there. I am hoping the new patch will already be available for playing there, but thats just my personal opinion smile

I plan to be there as well - most likely on Thursday, like Gorath & Myrthos of RPGWatch do as well.

Plus, it is cheaper for normal people than on Saturday & Sunday.

I've got a free press pass and I'll be there on Wednesday and Thursday. I never go on weekends to shows like these as it will probably be too crowded and getting some decent play time for games I have not made an appointment with the publisher for is difficult at times.
I have a visit scheduled with DTP on Thursday to not only see Divinity 2 but also Venetica and Drakensang: River of time.

Myrthos.
Will you be able to post some impressions If possible?
I especially want to hear about Venetica though!

That goes for anybody else.

Thanks

I fully understand this.

I'm glad that I'll have time for that day, if things go right.

We're all patiently waiting?

This forum is drier than a desert.
I can see dust balls around.
Only a few more days hopefully.

Yeah I will also be at Gamescom wink

8€ entry fee and no additional travel costs, I think that's a more than fair deal up

I will definitely check out the dtp stand, but not for Divinity since I already own that game :hihi:
But I hope to get some info on Venetica and Drakensang II, as well as other upcoming RPGs like Risen, Arcania, Dragon Age... we will see grin

Well for me Venetica is atm a two-edged sword... on the one hand dtp has released several very good RPGs in the last time (included of course Divinity II), so we can hope for something good, but on the other hand the gameplay looks a little bit too consolish for me.

I hope I'll get a chance to test a playable version at Gamescom so I can see if the gameplay fits my tastes or not.

What do you mean by consolish?

looking forward to Divinity 2 and Drakensang 2... Venetica looks very good, but I don't know if I'll be able to enjoy the game with the lack of character creation. It worked for The Witcher 'cause he was male and right down my alley, but I really dislike playing females and the lack of male protagonist possibilities really halves the value of that game for me. Still, I won't knock it, it does look really good.

I'm not really bothered about charector customization.
As your the daughter of death.
To me it would be boring to play the son of death.
Personally a Woman suits the storyline.
Its nice to have a change from Males.
