I'm totally new to RPG's. When I left that first village thing, (where you get the glowey eyes) I picked soldier. I've since found out that soldiering sucks and that I'd much rather beef up my ability to shoot from range (archer). I noticed that you can still bust out a bow and do it, but am I making a mistake somehow if I choose to pursue better arrows and such?

tldr: If I like archery more than I do soldering, should I re-start campaign and choose archer?

No. RPGs don't require to choose a class. Yeah, you get a Sword at Farglow, but in all RPGs, they are classless. You don't have a class. You can be a mage with a sword, a ranger with a fireball, ect... So, if you want to be a ranger, just go buy a bow from a shop and train ranger skills wink
