I found quite the interesting way to decimate your brain cells. If you mess up like this, I pity you as well as myself.. Basically I let Louis trash the bandit's camp, and then I went and found Janae, and sided with her; now I need to talk to Ragnar, but Ragnar is gone because I blew the camp to high hell along with the Temple of Doom, if anyone else has done this mistake, was there a fix it, or do I just have a finished quest in my log forever, which is funny to me; in a way that makes me smoke a lot more cigarettes than needed.

Thanks.

If that was recently, you could reload a save before the encounter and side with the merchants. After that you get a stat point (or was it a skill point?) mindreading the leader; I didn't try siding with the bandits, so you may get the same reward that way.

After you get the battle tower (half way through the game) the Broken Valley area changes and any open quests will fail. That should take it off your open quest list, anyway.

You can still do the Temple of Doom. That quest does not change or go anywhere.

Yep, for the most experience you need to NOT inform Lt. Louis of the Bandit camp location and password untill AFTER you have gone there and done the couple quests there. You can also read Jagon's mind and find out where they key is for the treasure room in Temple of Doom..
After that you can then go turn them in to Louis and go raid the bandit camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! suspicion rpg008

You really did not miss anything, by not being able to report to Ragnar. Don't even think you get any EXP for doing it, he just says thank you and we may use you again and that's it. No more quests or anything if you met Janea already in random encounter (daylight robbery) then that is the only other quest he would of gave you.

Thing I always wanted to know is if you save (con) the prisoner to lead you to their camp but side against Janea how the bandits would react when you went to their camp.

I just left the guards standing outside the bandit camp for the rest of the game (hope they had their gas masks :-D) as there is nothing to gain by raiding it anyways. No EXP or anything.

If you get the daylight robber quest, but then side with the merchants...
You can return and report back the results, either by lying and saying they had an escort of soldiers and mages, or by technically telling the truth (I was the only one that survived, etc), but leaving out specific details so that he assumes the seekers had sent an escort. I was hoping he would turn hostile, or something.

I'm pretty sure I did get experience raiding the bandit camp, though not a lot. There was some random low level loot.
