First of all, I want to say Hi to this cosy community! I've read some posts, and you all seem to be cool people to discuss/talk with. I'm sure I'll enjoy my time being on these forums!

That being said, I'd like to have some pointers on these following classes. - (Pure Warrior, Battle Mage)

I've bought this game approximately 2 weeks ago, and I'm absolutely blown away by it. It's simply amazing, period. :P
Now, in every RPG I play, I start out as a simple, yet effective Warrior. The thing is, I don't know in what I should invest my Status Points. Every level you receive 4 points, which I mostly distribute into Vitality and Strength (Which is quite obvious, since I'm a Pure Str Warrior, right?)

Now, I've read the thread called: "Characer Optimization", which said that spending points in Str is rather useless, and you'd be better of investing it in Intelligence, since it raises one's Magic Damage by 1, Magic Resistance by (?), and Mana regenaration by (?) %. And since almost every weapon has Magic Damage, it'd be better to invest my points in Int than Str? This sounds kind of obvious, I know - but I just want to hear this from you guys, wanting to know your opinions on this. Should I invest my points in Int, rather than Str, or am I better off investing in Str?

All in all, in what should I invest my Status Points? Like I said, my first playthrough is a Pure Warrior one, nothing more.

Anyways, that was the Warrior part. In my second PT, I'd like to play as a 'Battle Mage'. It sounds rather fun to play as a Hybrid, I think.

I heard, as a Battle Mage, it's best to use Dual Wielding weapons, since it has double Enchantming Slots, and faster DPS. Alright, that sounds obvious..

So, as a Battle Mage, in what should I invest my:
Skill Pointa
And
Status Points?

Also, what'd be a nice way to make some decent cash? And what sets of armor should I buy?

I'm sorry for all these questions, but I'd appreciate it if you guys could clear this up for me (:.

P.S: English is not my native language, so I'm sorry for any gramatical errors.

Thanks a bunch!

I'm not sure that Strength/Intelligence/Dexterity requirements for gear even exist anymore in DKS.

I also think that the difference between damage bonuses for Strength-based and Intelligence-based weapons are gone in DKS, but I can't confirm that.

I usually get Strength, Intelligence and Dexterity to 15 each, regardless of what my primary one is.

All I can say is that you can spec your char early in the game. Just invest your stat points wisely, and save up unused points for later. Basically when all 3 main stats reach 10 to 15, you can stop using your points unless you really having problem killing mobs. Reason, everyone will be getting different gear with different bonuses and charms. Make use of those bonuses from gears and charms, since stat points cant be reseted like skill points later in the game

As for hp and mp concern, it can be easily settle by using accessories that boost hp and mp amount. Rings and belt will offer those 2 boosts. As your level increase, hp and mp increment on the rings and belt will increase as well. You can always check up the vendor every 2 to 3 level to see what they can offer. 1 vitality/ spirit only offer 7 hp /mp, so 100+ hp or mp stats on rings and belt will offer you a better choice than just blindly investing in stats. When you reach orobas fjords, you can easily purchase legendary grade gears once you able to get to aleroth, as well as +4 stats charms. Necklace, bracelet and earrings will provide you with stats bonuses as well as skill bonus

If you manage to spec your character carefully, you can easily get all 3 main stats to 90+ with the help of charms and accessories by lvl30+, no matter what type of char you are playing.

As for skills, I left it for you to explore it yourself, as everyone has their own playing style. Try out every skills which you like, and reset them later if you find better replacement.

Indeed. Some items still have a level requirement, but stats are no longer a factor.

Also, I forgot to mention, as a Warrior, should I invest my status points mainly in Vit and Str, or should I divide them in Dex and Int, for additional DMG Res?

Thanks.

For resistance, once you get your hand rank 9 enchantments, you can easily enchant your armor parts with rank 9 resistance which provide +10 resistance. If you need more, just use only armor with 2 enchantment slots.

Just spec your character according to the condition and you shouldnt had much trouble with it. Just save up as much stat points as possible, use them wisely only when needed.

Does it mather? Reason for investing into Intelligence in battle mage is to improve the damage on spell and then use a magic-based weapon so you're not totally gimped in melee damage.
