Dex doesn't change the bow dmg as seen on the bow. It changes the dmg you do with that very bow. How else would you explain me criting a foe 35k+ with a bow rated at 156/268 dmg?
I'd like to close by quoting Bellegar's famous last rhyme:
"Cursed be the mother that bred thee! The wench must have been a hell-spawned banshee!"

I've never played an archer but either you meant 3.5k or I'm missing something huge. With 100 INT and maxed Way of the Battlemage the highest damage my mage has ever done is 8k or so with a Fireball. My warrior about half that with a Rush Attack.
no like when i up dex the damage that it shows go up like when you ad str it affects melee wep damage, but doesnt work the same on ranged damage not the str but the dex
Edit: Oh, no bloody wonder. I assumed Nightmare difficulty. You had me doubting my competence there.
How is the Nightmare difficulty? A real challenge?
PS: I'm waiting for this difficulty till the patch coming out for Xbox .... but when?

For the most part it feels "just right" to me.
However, having Nightmare mode on during the final battle against both Ygerna and Behrlihn was certainly exciting. Reminded me of old console games where you really have to learn the bosses' patterns. You have to dodge roll exactly when you see Ygerna use Rush Attack or she'll knock you down and whirlwind twice which will kill you instantly. Meanwhile, Behrlihn summons a demon and hits you with the standard magical arsenal.
