Hi everyone. I just started FoV after having played (and loved) the original game a few months ago. During that game, it got to the point where I didn't really spend any attribute or skill points toward the end, I just saved them in case I needed them later. So I have something like 25 attribute points and 22 skill points to spend.

I'm wondering if I should spend some of those on Mindreading to help offset the cost, or if FoV will be hard enough that I will need to start spending those points on my actual combat skills, like Flamewall, etc. (I think my dual-wield is maxed and can't be increased further. Other skills are fine at 1 point, but I don't know if I'll need to start spending more points on certain skills.)

So basically, is it time to use them on things like Mindreading, Wisdom, Bag space, etc., or should I still save them for later?

Well, I went ahead and maxed Mindreading, and I have to say, it is so nice being able to mindread everyone without penalty. It adds a lot of flavor, and I've already discovered a few quests that I wouldn't have otherwise, from people I wouldn't have bothered mindreading. And with several skill points left over, the investment was worth it. I can always respec later if necessary.

I think it's a good idea for the later parts of the game beacuse there's so many skill points available from random mindreads.

I think I made back all my skill points just by mindreading all my opponents in the Hall of Echoes alone.
