When you start up the game you can decide your looks as well as your starting stats as well as specify your initial skills.

And Lar is very wise not to discuss some things with the interviewer: most devs speak about a project before it's finished, thus selling a wolf's pelt before it's killed.
Way to go, Larian!

These interviews are cool, now i'll have to buy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> . <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

The manuscripts on the tables looks like of the Divinity.

The engine is the same except for 3d models.

I don't know what is fun in this pic.
Maybe is the board.

but the right is: 1 + 1 = 1 0 - aritmética(arithmetic) booleana.

11011 is equal 27 unsigned.

HomeLan-"Was it the plan from the beginning to make the Divinity universe open
ended to other titles"?

Swen-"Hey folks, if you get into the Divinity universe, you know it’s a place
you’ll be spending a lot of time in because we’ll keep on making games for it".

Homelan-"What is Larian's basic philosophy to making good PC games"?

Swen-"There needs to be the Freedom to do what you want, there needs to be a
Universe in which you can do the things you want, there needs to be a
Motivation to make you want to do things and there need to be Enemies that
make your life miserable".

HomeLAN - "What sort of playable characters will be available in Riftrunner"?

Swen Vincke - "Contrary to Divine Divinity, players will be able to completely
customize their characters. Additionally, the system is now totally classless
– i.e. you literally will be able to play according to your preferred style.
When you start up the game you can decide your looks as well as your starting
stats as well as specify your initial skills".

tension is mounting!!...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

i agree with DEATHATTHEDOOR that Swen didn't spill the bean like most devs do. frankly i WAS worrying about Larian doing that. i don't want any of Larian's games end up like Duke Nukem legend.

talk about spilling the bean, i hope the new fallout 3 won't end up that way as the devs are talking about it & they may just rave 2 much 4 the game's own good. lesson 2 learn, Larian.

[color:"red"] You are the first person whom I met online who didn't misspell my name!
I agree about Duke Nukem, it will never come out anyway...
As for fallout: Personally I expect * [color:"red"]nothing * from fallout 3. The original team exist no more, whatever Fallout 3 will be, I am sure it won't be half as good as the former titles.

Oh pause ain't so bad... it's like cheating death. Quaff a potion and get back into business! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

i thinks its sur-real. wanna see you in a fight, pause the situation, select another spell, and continue. also doesnt sound fun to me. they may either use typical hack&slay alá <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />1 or a real round-based system, while i would prefer the hack&slay system. But that pause-thing smirk

i use pause when i gotta go to the toilett or get new beer, or get a phone-call in-game, but not to manage a fight.

You will praise the pause button when you have to control over 3-4 characters in combat

''In the beginning of the game you'll discover that many books are written in a strange runic language. You'll curse because you won't know what they mean, especially because you'll suspect (and rightfully so) that there are clues in them. Being an intrepid adventurer, you'll quickly discover that you can read the strange language by collecting pieces of children's reading books. Before you know it, you'll be bursting into schools and browsing through the children's libraries looking for alphabet books.''

Umm is this a joke? Or a trick Lar used to get over with this question without revealing their suprise quests? I hope it is...Because before I know it I will just dump those books and solve the quests without the clues if it ever happens so. But still I guess it is a joke or just an example to hint that there will deciphering quests.

The new IGN interview, my green friend.

I hope he was serious about those books: it's fun! If you don't want to read them, DON'T but let the other do <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
