i am new to this game-just bought it 2 weeks ago, and it seems to play a lot like diablo 1. no complaints, but i have what seems to be a newbie question. as in D1, where you could store all items and money in town on the ground and they would be there in your next game after you save and exit, is that the same in divine divinity? I am in the catacombs carrying a hell of a lot of stuff and what question is if i drop items in town-like in an empty house- will thy be ther forever? or only for a short while? if only for a short while what do i do with items i can use later so i dont want to sell them?
thanks

Yes you can leave items anywhere, take over abandoned houses, re-arange the furniture, collect chests to keep things organized, and everything will stay where you leave it.

Merchants later in the game will have more money, so keep the high quality stuff you do not want, to sell later.

Yes, if you leave items on the ground or an empty house, the items do stay there for the rest of your game.
