As the title states, I am completely lost on how to kill Josephina in the restore peace between the Elves and Dwarves quest.

I have tried using lightining (lvl 4), meteorstike (lvl 5), burning wall (lvl 5), summon skeleton (lvl 1), elemental strike (lvl 1), elemental hail (lvl 1), and various combinations of them. Of course, I also used both the anti-magic, and anti-physical attack sheilds as well as restoring all the time.

-Nothing works-

I am a mage, clearly, level 33. I have a huge supply of super magic potions so mana wasting is not an issue.
Whenever I go down there, she summons one of her Dread Knights on me, and that alone is hard since magic does nothing to them. -If- I killed one, I attempt to attack Josephina. She summons another one, and I am dead from a fury of hell spikes, and the hits of the Dread Knight.

Magic, apparently, also does not have an effect on her. She has a shield around her which stop me from using my powers on her. I cannot go melee, since I am a mage, and I have almost no expertiece (sp?) in the area of melee combat.

She is the first foe in the game who has halted me so much. My magery knew no bounds of destructiveness before.
What do I do? I have spent about 2 1/2 hours trying to get past this part...

This is an answer which has been given by Kiya

[quote] Killing Josephina by Sir_Toejam:
4 quick curses (level 5), freeze (level 4), 4 leeches (level 5), one hellspike (level 5). if you can click fast enough, you should be able to beat my time.

it's the survivor curse (cumulates), not the mage one, lvl 1 is sufficient.
I cursed her and then used elemental hail.

I need a way that -I- can kill her. It would take me over 10 levels to get those things

Restoration potions are much more effective than health / mana potions.

Do you have Aura of Command, to cast on her death knight? If you drink a shadow potion and wait until the Blind spell wears off, you can attack her. Try starting off with something which can prevent her from re-casting it, Blind her first, or Curse/Freeze. I don't know what her fire resistance is, but Meteorstrike has a stunning effect and can be cast almost continuously.
Also, you can use area effect spells which do not need a target to do damage while you are blind or under the effects of the shadow potion, such as Elemental Hail, Poison Cloud, Hell Spikes...

I was a warrior and i killed Josephina with a two hands sword with freeze.
It was not difficult. Sorry, but i have no idea with a mage !
May be tomorrow, someone like Kiya or Raze could help you.
Don't you have some other quest to solve, and leave this one for the moment ?

What magical spells, abilities, weapons, and equipment do you have? Can you list them all in detail?

Thanks.

I killed that b**** yesterday with my warrior without using any spells.
I drank a couple of strength potions and that's all, I was lvl 32

'Many that live deserve death, and some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo?

That's the way to go. It will probably work for a mage as well as long as you have enough gold to buy the sheer amount of strength potions you would have to buy if you felt like going hack and slash style. But I take that back since mages never really get any good weapons unless they put their stat points into strength.

w00t!! I beat Josephina. I just got myself a nice 200 healing potions, 'bout 50 super magic potions and was constantly healing while smaking her non-stop with level 5 meteorstrike. I sometimes went out of the room to get both sheilds back and always came back with a shadow potion in use .

No, I don't. This is my first time playing this game... and didn't want to do it on hard.

Strange! How comes you needed so many potions? I used a singing sword, though, so that ______ didn't even had the time to aim: I entered and used Flash attack (which somehow makes me think of Nightcrawer ) and she's dead after several hits.

I used -half- or less of the potions I brought. Josephina is much harder to fight as a mage, because even magic attacks at level 5 do mere fractions of what a sword does to her.

That is what Curse is for, to drop resistances. It is cumulative, so even at level 1 you can cast it multiple times, then switch to a magical attack. Again, restoration potions are much better than health or mana potions.

I distracted her with a dozen or so scorpion traps, then whacked way with my best sword (penetrating death blade), retreat (using ghost spell) to heal and quicksave, then and return repeat untill done. I took me 15 minutes of grulling agony but down she fell
