ive got a problem. my lockpick skill just reached 5;so, i can open all kinds of doors and hatches that i couldn't before. the only problem is that i cant seem to find any lockpiks anywhere!?! anyone know where i can find some lockpicks for sale? i'm dying here!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

thingalf at ars magica has usualy some (if you havent turn him in yet)

Where's Tingalf? Still at Ars Magicana/Rivertown? How's Mpenzak/Verdistis? blake in Ars/magican sells them sometimes.

Using the lockpick skill and neglecting your search for a fitting key is not very wise...

Try all the merchants in Ars Magicana, also the shady character that's standing near the blacksmith's shop.
The merchant of the burnt kart that is standing in front of the Inn in Verdistis, might have some as well.
Etc etc...

They're really not that hard to come accross, you know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Actually lockpicks can be pretty hard to purchase. With the exception of Tingalf in Ars Magicana, they are a random item for merchants, and it can turn out that no one sells them if your luck gets bad.

One can also, I understand, do Finnegans quest in the Verdistis Thieves Guild, and keep the lockpicks rather than giving them back to complete the quest. If the latest patch is installed, they are supposed to be unbreakable (install patch before getting lockpicks).

However, the bulk of the supply of lockpicks will normally be random drops. Go fight some stuff for a while if you are getting short.
