Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Minimap problem

I suddenly seem to have a problem with my minimap. At some point the game crashed when I tried to decrease the automap size, and I had to reboot, and when I loaded the game my minimap was all purple with the pc cross in the middle. I run the patch again and restarted, but the minimap still is purple. Is there anything I can do about that? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

Hm yeah, I had the same problems. After installing the patch, they kinda improved that, but sometimes I still get this weird behavior. However, reloading (or even restarting) always fixed the problems...for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> Neither reloading, restarting, or reinstalling did anything to fix the purple minimap. I tried changing the various configurations too, and that didn't work either. I have fog and 3d shadows off as well, I am getting pretty desperate, I don't know what is going on really. And when I try to enter the automap, the big one, sometimes it crashes and I have to reload as well, or it pops up an error message on div.exe it says. And of course, I can't just go on without the patch now, because the earlier version does not recognize the save games. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Well, thanx to Lynn I fixed this problem. It seems that I had a 32 bit resolution, and it needed a 16 bit one. I also upgraded to max install. But that's fixed now. Thanx! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
