Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General cursed abbey/ holy weapon??????????

im in the cursed abbey and i can't get into one of the chests which i assume is where the holy sword is, also on a completely different tact........ i've followed the assasins into the sewers of verdistis and i've basically cleared the place out but there's no sign of the head honcho!!!!

there is a golden key on the barrels just outside the door. But the holy weapon is somewhere else.

thanks very much for the response, but i have the key off the barrels and still it wont open. sorry to be a hassle also but wheres the basement? basement of what? a found a door which had stairs leading down from the sewers near where all the thieves were, but again the door in there was locked is there a key or do i need to imprve my lockpick skill?

i'm sure kiya has said this many many times but i'll just repeat it for u: look for items that gives u lockpick skill. plus if u have done finigan's quest 2 get his magical lockpick, that helps a lot as well, i mean the lockpicks.
