I know im supposed to get the dragon armor quest from dwarven king after i've completed the dwarven council member quest.Ive already gathered all 7 council members, including the dwarven one.The king still wouldnt give me the damn quest.
I got annoyed with his guards taking all my stuff all the time,so i just killed all of em,inside and outside his room, heh. My question is how do i get the dragon armor quest AND if i do find all the armor pieces without getting the quest - will i get the experience for completing it if i wear them all? Thanks

Try talking to the king and dwarven smith again. Did you bring both the letter and axe to the king?

I beleive ive shown the axe to the king, cant be sure tho because i've completed that quest with dwarven council member quite a while ago...Same goes about the letter,if you mean the one that proves it was not elves who stole the axe..
And i've been talking to Grisha a lot, since the sucker has some good armor & weapons, with many reloads because his stuff is random - already exhausted all my speech options with him,and he doesnt say a word related to dragon armor stuff...Can i still complete the quest if a gather all the items though?

I already got all the items besides the breastplate and the helm, which go together.Cant trigger the speech option from Sir Patrick nor from the dwarven king. Therefore no breastplate or the helm The spoiler doesnt help,it only shows the locations of the items that can be found,it doesnt say how to get
those 2 guys to talk about the breastplate

Apollon, go to the king again, look in your inventory if you have the letter when you're past the guards, please.

I dont have to go to the king to know that i dont have the letter - ive completed the dwarven member quest quite a while ago and since i have constant
overweight and "space in the misc items inventory" problem - dont tend to keep
redundant stuff that i think i will no longer need it.That letter is gone long time ago and no - i have no idea where i dropped it

This probably isnt the place to make suggestions, but if any of the developers happens to read this thread - it might be useful:
In Might and Magic 8 game, developed by New World Computing on one of the maps
there is a house with oracle in it - he helps you figure out what to do next, quest wise to complete the mainstream of the game and he also has ALL
the lost items you have already found, but not carrying with you when you come to him...All you have to do is click "i think i've lost it" speech option, and every time you click it you get one of the items you lost or deliberetly got rid of,thinking you wont need it.

P.S. Kiya I dont know if that recovering lost items overwriting crap will work
or not (gonna try it now) - but you're still the best

Read Raze's instructions carefully, please. If you don't restore your old inv files afterwards, you'll encounter bad quest problems - PLEASE, follow his steps dot by dot.

If the letter doesn't work, the dwarven armour might; I'm not sure if you can get the dwarven smith to forge the armour and dragon gem if you don't have the quest to get the armour, though.

Letter worked, thanks a bunch to Kiya & Raze.

More on the subject: does anyone have a save of the game with *.inv files just before they pick up the gloves from dragon armor set from Burial Pyres at the Elven Graveyard?
Mine suck, and i didnt save the game before picking them up

no ,it wont!
the statistics are random, but you have to save before you pick up the item, not
before you identify it.

Items with random stats will morph if they are swapped between inventory sets. The random stats are saved in the items.000 file, which can not be swapped without morphing all of your existing equipment. For the dragon/silver armour this is ok, since they get completely replaced when upgraded.

I'd suggest just keeping an eye out for a better set of gloves, but keep the dragon gloves so you can complete the set (the first time you wear the full set there is an experience bonus and you learn a level of Elemental Hail, IIRC).
Alternately, if you don't mind cheating; DAD's item editor
