I feel silly for asking, but is there another way to find metal scraps for blacksmithing? I haven't seen any drop randomly, is there an item or items I can "break down" to get them?
I'm not talking about ore so much as the actual object called Metal Scraps or Scrap of Metal or something like that. Like the cloth scraps and leather scraps you use to make armor.
Metal scraps do drop randomly but not the first few levels. There are a couple of monsters that will drop them and a couple of traders that will have them.

I'm trying to get metal scraps as well... it's so hard to find metal scraps... I haven't found any both from vendor, monsters, or chests in the entire cyseal act, maybe silverglen might provide something... will keep u posted ^_^
