Is it possible to get a one-handed sword from the Knight near the castle?
I have saved just befire encountering him but I don't want to fool with it if I am only going to get two-handed swords.

Do you mean the night near the warriors guild?

I´ve never tried it out, but you could do...
...save beforhand and work it out.

Would be intereting, although in most cases the weapon/item drop is randomized...

Good luck!

No I mean the Knight who insults you in a cut scene near Stormfist Castle. He call you names and if you fight him he drops armor , helmet and sword.

This is what I got

Bas.tard Sword - two handed, from the knight south of Stormfist castle

Durability 22
Charm Quality 4
Damage 68-113
Lightning Damage(2)
Life drain(3)
mana Drain(2)

It's always a 2-hander.

Oh sorry
didn´t read the thrad title completely...

This knight...
...I would fight him anyway because he behaves in such a rude manner

In my case he dropped a (two handed) Sword which was quite nice but nothing special...

If you are interested in two handede swords go for the sword of Chaos. Usually it´s the best 2H sword in the game.
but as you said it seems that you prefer one handed blades. A nice one is the nobleman´s blade which you can gain after completing a quest.

My first answer was polite, but the second response was basically a choice between killing him or groveling. I would have let him live, if he wasn't such a nocando. Also, I would have needed the experience points and the sword to let him live. And an apology.
The game uses the armour class of the area that is hit when calculating damage, so loss of a shield is not as much of a disadvantage as it is in other games.

Well I was afraid of that. Really wanted a one hand sword. Well, there is always that Singing Sword in the sewers. Thanks everybody for your help.

when i got nobelmans sword it was crap 21 - 51 damage and durability of 15/15 . the moral of that is to save BEFORE u identify unique objects.

what happened to my avatar? does it have anything to do with lariancom.stiteprotect.net?

Yep. You get exp. points if you don't.
There are more "situations" like that in btw.

But I know you're not there yet, so I'm not gonna tell you where and when.

I passed by that place but and I have met the rude guy. I also met a party of wild people (the one was with no hair and very fat) and they asked me to let them pass the road. I am a noble warrion in the game so politely let them go through the way. I gained many exp. points with that move. And I liked it very much. Good job again Larians

I like the idea of having a reward when I am nice...

I killed him and gave me 742 xp. Boars give the same -maybe more xp- and I always try to be polite. Killing this rude knight doesn't effects your reputation, but who want to kill a knight even he is rude? I think he is young and want to kill someone but after some war he will be wise and become better man. And killing gives you some armor and bastard sword. I have enough gold and don't need this sword or armors. So I didn't kill him.

The real power is not to harm someone while you can.
