Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Mods Help installing mods

Hello,

None of the mods I have installed are working.
I keep looking everywhere I can to know where I must put the files but I cannot find the informations.

Can someone help me ?

I have tried to extract the zip files in :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Mods
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Public
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Public\Main

But none of theses seems to have a single effect on the game.
Nothing in the mod section of the menu.

Looking for help.

It depends on the mod you're trying to install.
Some come in a .pak format, which you have to place in:
Path\To\My Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\Mods\

And others are Public and/or Mods folders, which both go into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\

I finally managed to make few mods to work :

I have installed the mods in :
Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\Mods
And :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Mods
= now it's working.

But I don't understand why I have to put the files in both folders to make it work ?
Something is not working correctly.
