Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Help/Tips/Tricks 2 bloodstones count as 1? (spoilers)

Hey guys
trying to tally up the blood/star/inert stones i have.

for some reason i only have 5 in my inventory, but i get all the way up to the 2nd elemental door, which means i used a total of 6, right?

but reading up on a list i find ive done these:
-Star Stone on ground near exit to Luculla Forest
-Star Stone in the crime scene in the tavern
-Star Stone dropped by Braccus on death
-Blood Stone owned by Evelyn
-Blood Stone in the Pontius Pirate fight
-Two(2)Blood Stones in the Loic Cellar

in total, these are 7, but i went to all above locations to make sure and i didn't miss any - and it seems i didnt miss any.

so does one of the 2 stones in loics basement not count? or do did i somehow REALLY miss 1?

reading up on a list i saw you only "need" 12, because there are only 12 unlocks, is that true? are 3 "spare"?

You need to use Bloodstones to unlock rooms - either directly or in a quest.
There are 2 quests that require a bloodstone to be completed with the best result: Healing an immaculate in the desert area and the wounded mount near the WW's hut.

ive yet to find the injured immaculate but the "mount" i assume you mean Alfie? (the one u escort?)


i rechecked and my lan buddy had the 2 inert stones in his inventory, so now i have FOR SURE 7 (5 inert, 2 blood) - so just to test it i (saved) used the 2 bloodstones, and i still only get to the 6th unlock, at that point ZixZax goes next to the timeweaver, according to things i read online a "demon" is supposed to be unlocked but nothing happens.

this is why im asking if those 2 count as one (when it comes to unlocking)

To avoid any problems use a Bloodstone, enter the End of Time, talk to Zixzax, enter the new portal, talk to everybody in the new room, leave through the portal, talk to Zixzax again and leave the End of Time before you use the next Bloodstone.
Those 2 Bloodstones should unlock the Seller of Secrets and the Respec Demon.

i got to a point where tons of little zixzax's exscorted me to the rightmost portal.

ill just do it step by step.

so on another note, Are there way Blood/Star stones then needed for all the unlocks?

There are a few(2-3) more than necessary, so you don't have to find all of them and can skip entire areas.

From what I found there are 4 additional ones in the game than needed... though I might have missed 1 or 2(?).
