When trying to get Eolus into the Co7, you meet the mayer Gregor Dunatrim, who wants mead. Where do you get it? I have never been able to do this and end up killing the guardian in the mines (100K XP is ok, though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />)
Is this quest broken?

Your best chance is to give him Rimmer's ale... or, like you said, forget it and just head into the mines.

Ahhhh...so Jenever is not like Mead or anything. I had not tried it yet but was looking to get some hooch for ol booze breath Mayor. Convinced I am that he is perhaps one of the evil dooers who set the Elf up.

hmmm...I've tried using Rimmer's ales, and they don't work. Unless it's the 5 he gives you that you have to use for the Armor of Larian quest...

Any ale (reward or bought) from Rimmer should work for either the mayor or the easter egg area. Some people have found the mayor stubborn about revealing the password. This is not a big deal, however, since you can easily defeat the sentry, and you get more experience that way.

gregor unfortunately died in an orc attack in my game :-(

So can i complete this quest without speaking to him at all?

Hi, Smallkat, - yes, you can complete the quest = just go to the Dwarven Halls and enter the SW mining area.
