I'm in a dungeon where pirates fight orcs (lvl 7) i come into a room where a ghost tell me that if i move i will die (and i do) he says that i must find a switch... I cant find anything and moving is out of the question... how to get out of there ????

The trick here is knowing that while your main character can't move, others can. There is no way to assume this of course based on what you are told. Very lame honestly.

The first time I went through there I assumed the character not standing on the pressure plate would be able to move...

You can actually avoid the pressure plate if you're careful and know it's there!!

Since I started the game with another person, he activated it and i went and found the switch (not before saving and blowing ourselves trying to prove we could move and get away =P).

The explosions only do about 32,000 each, with like 10 per second anyway. Try to tank it.
