You most definately can beat act two at lvl 18. Make sure you have decent armor and i would also suggest some lightening resis because the unique monster at the end it LN enchanted. Other than that you are a paladin...get used to using alot of potions.

Thanks for your help, but i still can't get past the tower <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

I'm starting again as a druid (I prefer them to paladins) and I am at level 10 already, i'm going to the forgotten tower quest now, hopefully I will be ready for the claw viper temple by the time I get there.

I'd suggest that you beat weaker "boss monsters" several times before you are going to meet stronger ones, to get more experiance.

that´s not what Lynx was talking about JvB. If you are level 20 and you fight a monster with level 50 you will not gain as much XP as if you were level 30.

That´s what he meant, the loss of gained XP.

btw: In singleplayer I have a sorceress Level 39. I recently wanted to start nightmare with her but after installing patch 1.10 I have no chance against the monsters in nightmare.

Before for example I needed to cast nova 2 times for Zombies. After the patch they are still not killed after 5 times Nova (Level12)...

Did the resistances change with the patch or is the game more difficult...?

I know i am a bit late but a tip on the cow level: You can play it in norm, NM, and hell. but dont kill the cow king in norm until you have killed the end boss in nm. as long as you dont kill the king you can always come back and get more XP (this is espesialy useful in hell where they dish out tons of xp). when you are finaly done with the hell boss you can keep playing the cow level over and over again to get xp (just dont kill the king). when you are really strong you can then go back and kill mephisto and baal over and over again with alot of MF items to help you get cool stuff.

Bruce, this has changed in the new patch. Doing mf runs on mephisto and others dont work no more. Only the first time you kill them, you get the best items.

FALSE
mf runs still work
the first kill is only a masterdrop with an approx. 300% higher chance of getting magic items.
But every run u get a magic chance liek in 1.09
mf still wors on boss mosnters and all other super uniques. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Well its a run for big bosses with item who have alot of magic find. So actually you are "treasure hunting".

FALSE, FALSE, FALSE!!!
Come on guys(and gurls)!!!
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/alien.gif" alt="" />When was the last time Mef dropped you a gaze? or a storm? or a shako?
My didn't....uh-oh....
But actually, about bosses you're a bit right here, Pindle still drops some set items, e.g. whitstan (well, my friend found already three of them, on hc)
I also only tend to find quite nice, but OLD uniques, and mostly from Baal. Does this contradict? No, because most of the rare items, and new, 1.10 items, tend actually to fall out of commons.
