Note : This small article was written as a reply in the Enya Forum.)

To put it linguistically (right spelled ?) - from the langue the Celts are not forgotten at all - they live on in their languages : Irish, scottish, welsh and other dialects (sorry, but I don't know the proper words for these languages - and they live on in their tales, legends and what we call "fairy tales" ("Märchen" in German).

Tolkien was a linguist, a professor for languages, and he surely knew many or all european legends, sagas and mystics / mythologies. And some of the rest of the world, too, I guess.

So he took from them and melted them into a great saga - Middleearth.

This was a "background history" for his own, invented language, Quenya, and thus created a whole new genre : The Fantasy literature.

Back to the topic : The celts live on - in some form we cannot see.

Just take a look at all the cultures befiore us, some of those we don't even know anything of : They are still there, like the ground on which a house on a hill is built.

Let me take you to this picture : You live in a house on a hill - and it's been there as long as you can think of it.
What you don't know is the following : This hill wasn't a hill once before. There has been a time when everything around it was plain.
The hill arouse because of the remains of other houses which were burnt down or fell into ruins. The remains became the ground of new houses atop of them. Thus the hill grew on and on, into time and into height. There have been houses there for millennia, and we don't know of them or of their inhabitants.

Archaeological speaking, this kind of hill can be met throughout this world. This was no fairy-tale, these hills do exist. The most prominent example maybe is the hill of Troy.

And I believe we have the same with cultures : The remains of cultures of the past are lying beneath our feet, and we don't know of them. They might appear as strange words no-one can explain (like "nightshade" or "nightshadow", what's in German "Nachtschatten"), or by children's games no-one know why they are there and what they actually might mean.

So - our past is never gone. We are just one layer or level among others, and there will be many generations after us.

Then the questions arise - what are the basis for some of our myths?

Some we can guess about because we have people or animals in todays societies that lend credence to some of these myths. Please please excuse me if I am "politically" incorrect - I don't mean to be!
[*]The people who have that condition where their whole bodies are covered with hair = werewolves. [*]The people who are sensitive to sunlight and will die if exposed to too much sun = vampires. [*]The people who are born with pink eyes and white skin (albinos) = vampires. [*]People who are born with the giant gene (sorry don't know the technical name) = giants (especially if humans were shorter before). [*]"Little" people = Dwarfs.

What about Dragons? Elves? Sorcerers? Witches? Sirens? Banshee? Or more explanations of the ones above? Where do you think our ancestors came up with these ideas? What do you think sparked their imaginations?

Well I guess this brings us to; The Origin of Man (Politically incorrect, I know).

I sometimes wonder, about the universe, and this maybe a quite common philosophy, however here goes; the universe is made out of infinite stars comets planets etc. etc. Okay keep this in mind.

The human body is made up out of infinite (for want of a better calculation) molecules, Okay keep this in mind too.

What is to say that we as a person contain a universe(molecules) in our bodies, if this is so then in this universe of molecules (infinite stars comets planets etc. etc.) there must be life too so ipso facto we are the Universe in a 5th, 6th or eleventeenth dimension, in any case this would explain why nobody has quite figured out why or how the universe became, I.E. big bang small bang or whatever, anyways ponder on this for a while and tell me if you ever wondered the same thing or came to a different philosophy [Linked Image]

I've always wondered the same MeaCulpa, if you take a look to a molecule, it consists of different atomns, an atomn consists of electrons and a core, it goes even smaller.

We are creatures, we live on a planet, planet = electrons, they are in a traject around a sun, a core. Different solarsystems together = molecule. Milkyways are cells etc etc...

How did the universe exist? same way we did? a core attracted electrons and became an atomn, an atomn attracked other atomns and became a cell, a cell attracked other cells and formed in the end a human beeing. This keeps going on untill one moment, where cells start dying, other cells get affected by it die. thus explaining the big bang was actually verry slow. Our dead bodies don't just dissapear, the remaining energy gets used by several other organisems to create more life. Thus explaining the big-bang-cycle theory (the theory that the universe bangs in a burst of energy, then looses it's energy untill all remaining energy gathered to multiply again and do another big bang.

my conclusions,
everything is a universe on its own
universes begin and end
not nescecarely in the same form
those universes are again forming another universe
when/where does it end? where/what can/makes it go wrong?
What does our universe make? another humanoid?

I've once had a thought that goes a little bit into that direction :

Every Atom can be describes as a waveform or a particle.

We consist of Atoms.

Therefore *we* can also be described as a wave-form (or a collection of it) or as a particle.

And therefore waves of any kind can influence us : Music, light, radiation ...

Don't know where this leads to ...

that my friend leads to some extremely deep thinking and pondering...
i as well have thought of these thoughts too....it must be in everyone's silent questbook of life to figure these kinds of things out for ourselves

If you figure this out, you will know the truth, they say. There is one theory, it is about microcosmos and macrocosmos.
I am just trying to recall the things I was tought long ago and translate it into english for your consideration.
Creation shows the involution of diminishing energy on a microcosmic scale controlled primarily by electromagnetism, which can occur in the outer space out of "nothing". Energy can self organizes itself into ever larger and more constricted systems. Going from the zero to the fourth dimension energy becomes more symmetrical, diminished and predictable taking on the characteristics of solid matter.

"nothing" => energy=> quanta => photon => electron => atom => molecule.

Everything came out of energy including us. We are noctilucous, glooming creatures or concentrations of energy. We are a drops in the ocean. There is another pfylosopic theory of being "Not two" this is not whole one, and these are not two separate things. The one, who understands and feels of being "not two" will understand what is to be the drop in the ocean, being a drop and the ocean simultaneously, at the same time being neither drop nor ocean.

Sorry if I was boring with all this, but I was thinking a lot about all this for more than 10 years.

But, this is where the wisdom comes from, wise Janggut.

Maybe you teacher kept another thing in mind when talking you to stop thinking.
Think when you need to only. We always keep inner dialogue with ourself, we never stop thinking. It is like a running boy, after he reaches river he sits under the tree. But, he doesn't continue to flip/swing his legs as he was while running. The idea is, speak, when you need to, walk when you need to, think when you need to.

Here, I have found one interesting article about possible origins of dragons.

Where did dragons come from?
