Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Suggestions Multiplayer

This game is great i just brought it three days ago.. its addictin...even it's only a single player. the graphic is one of the best 2D, 3D graphic i've seem. The gameplay is fun, the land scape is beautiful, the day and night or great, not sure about the weather changes, havent see many weather changes yet..i hope there is. The only problem is the mouse arrow it's kind of hard to pick up items or point to an object. WEll, anyway I was jsut wondering is there gonna be a sequal to this game ...or i would love to see a multiplayer version of this game .. that would be a dream come true <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> or hopefully it would be a multiplayer on the next sequal. Great game larian Studio..i have been playing video games for almost 15yrs...and RPG is one of my favorite. I got almost every RPG games out there..I have to said Divine Divinity is one of the best..KEEP IT COMING!

The only weather change I saw so far was after making the talking tree angry, but I am not through with the game yet

2 days before the 1st where is the MP thread. not bad, I actually expected it sooner.

anywayz, I guess that's something for DD2 maybe. no word on it yet

i think it would be a good idea to have multiplayer in a game.

Multiplayer would be a blast! And it's a terrifically popular format.

Multiplayer would make this great game even better along with different races eg Lizard Dragon [color:"blue"] [/color]

Multiplayer would be awesome as this is a great engine set in a pretty cool world. But the one thing that probably prevented them from making it MP is that it'd be almost identical to diablo style gameplay if they made a MP option. If they were to do it it should be more like EQ or something a little more complex than run around and kill everything.

Chuck.. think this game is perfect for a MP online..I have play NWN, Diablo I,II, and POQ the beta online and its very Addictin. The Most fun part is trading and picking up items.. and creating your own character.. This game will probably blow away NWN, Diablo and POQ if its a Multiplayer...the game were of be more will known too.

I find it refreshing that DD isn't MP. Yes, there are one or two people I'd like to play it with, but frankly, what value would it serve? You'd either be competing over a limited supply of monsters (since monsters don't magically spring to life and repopulate "cleared" areas) or killing each other. That's all you can do in Diablo II, the supposed multiplayer paragon. That's all you do in most MUDs or MMORPGs, either. Just allowing people to join the same game does not a good MP experience make.

Frankly, if the only reason you want MP is to trade items between characters, you can do that by just copying item files back and forth. Enjoy the game with different characters -- that's all the enjoyment anybody ever can claim from D2, unless you like killing other players, in which case you just have the same tricked out sorceress that everybody else has.

I thought I also voice my vote on the fact I'm ALSO happy there is no MP in DD. I'm glad they didn't as then we wouldnt have this game right now. And also since I hope they contine to make *prays* expansion pack(s) or DD2 , Id rather they work on that than spend all that time making it MP. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I don't think some of the MP people have ANY CLUE the amount of development time involved in making a game MP.

actually they could have more then one divine persone running around, since there are actually 3 in the game. they could make it so that they have up to 3 ppl can play together. I problem about multi player is that then you would have to worry someone making some sort of trainer for the game.

Yes for a MP game there is always money and times involed. THey could of make it MP or single so pple can have option of what they wanna to play, and yes there will always gonna be pple with hack or trainee around in a MP game. But this game is got everything for a Mp game for those that love to play online like myself here. One thing is great about MP game is taht you get to share things and socialist with pple all around the world and that is most fun of mp game. Still, I would love to see a MP option for the next sequal to Divine Divinity. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

maybe a mmorpg in the divinity realm?
