Warning: Div 2 is my first RPG after so many years so erm, some of my suggestions might be quite OPed

If I'm right, there should be a necromancer class, yeah? I suggest penalising some of the skills, using health points instead of just mana points, to add a "blood factor" to this class.

Here're some suggestions for battle skills:

1) turn living into undead
This turns a living into an undead who will obey your commands like fight by your side, heal you(if NPC has that capability), etc.

Since this is a very powerful skill, it should be used wisely and the cooldown should be at least 20 to 40 secs. It should also be only available to higher levels. It works only on 1 character. It has a high mana and health cost, since necromancy sometimes involves blood sacrifice, yeah?

2) Ode to Koren

Koren was a powerful necromancer feared even by the Black Ring. He was able to travel through rifts and bring back new knowledge, items and technology. One day, the necromancer and his entire mansion vanished. Many have claimed his legacy was a myth. But some think he simply tired of his rivalry with the Black Ring and teleported away into another dimension.

This is a very forbidden spell contained in a one-use scroll which allows you to perform human/etc. sacrifices, in order to obtain greater knowledge.

Using this spell will kill the character(s) and obliterate the character's soul so there's no chance he/she will ever come back.

3) Symphony of death

Your party revels in the dance of destruction, painting their faces with the blood of their foes. This boosts certain attributes like better melee protection, 10% boost to their skills, etc.

4) Yank 'em Out

Using magic, you pull out 2 random bones from the target enemy's body, causing severe pain and cripples them for a few rounds.

5) Mind Paralysis

If the above is too morbid/disturbing, change to this:
Using magic, you attack the enemy's mind for 2 to 3 rounds, causing them to be more susceptible to magical attacks.

6) Demonic possession

Allow yourself to be possessed by a demon, to strike terror in your enemies' hearts. This will boost your attacking power : magic spells do more damage, etc.

Lasts 4 to 5 rounds but warning! The demon might not want to give back your body and might even attack your party, after the battle is over. :P Nah, in exchange for this skill being used, the demon feasts on some of your flesh and blood.

======
These few aren't battle skills.

1) Allow necromancer to collect some heads of their slain foes to decorate their home or to trade them in for scrolls, spells, etc.

2) Allow to collect bones of enemies to feature as spell or potion ingredients.

3) Necromancer type of ring: it's a ring all right but it has a nasty spirit stored in it. It demands to feast on blood and bone. Keep it happy or else something bad(bad luck, missing things, quality swords shatter, gems turn into duds , etc.) might happen to you.

Some more suggestions:

- items used could be a forced symbiosis between dead and living

that means: like some creature could've parts that're still alive and some parts that were taken from corpses and everything is held together with magic

- monsters or creatures created by necromancers could be like a Matryoshka doll
They contain other creations inside of them. After killing 1, it bursts open to reveal another and this goes on for 1 to 2 more rounds.

Btw, if the necromancer class doesn't make it, some of these stuff can still make into the game as skills in other classes: the darker types. Also, some of them could also be used for Black Ring members.

2 more ideas:

A monster whose "head" regrows no matter how you cut it down 'cos that's not where its brains are.

How about: plants which look like brains that eat each other and the one that survives is the winner.
