Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Targeting Issues (Orc Fight at Beach)

In the orc fight at the beach, my characters were on the slope. The opponents were below on the beach. I was able to select the target and click on it..........then the wand attacks crashed into the ground.

Is this a bug? Do you get an indication when this is supposed to happen?

Considering that I was playing on tactician mode, it was basically a Re-load moment for me.

I had the same problem in the first fight of the game. I was downstairs, casted a fireball and the fireball didn't appear on the screen. (And did no damage at all)

You need to be really careful where the line that shows the path of the ranged attack is.. Archers have a horribly low origin from thier body.

But yeah, play around with it, also sometimes you can target their foot or something if they're in smoke
