I beat the original game last year, so I am well aware of what I'm doing...or, at least I thought I was. Every single time I engage a zombie type enemy, they "bleed" poison everywhere, and just heal themselves. It's an absurd struggle to kill a single one. I thought using spells and crushing weapons didn't cause them to "bleed", but that hasn't seemed to work. Tactical mode is new and different, but playing so cautious to not die, and seeing enemies auto heal, seems a bit excessive. What am I doing wrong?

Their auto-heal versus your damage output could be a straight DPS check that you're failing. Try to hit them with more DPS, or use some form of crowd control to stop them from moving around inside the poison AoEs, as it's only when they move around that the poison "damages" them.

Also, keep in mind that you can use healing spells to damage zombies.

Fire works best on zombies. If they bleed poison from an attack you can hit them with fire and light the poison which will cause them to burn..
