Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Arena need more people actually playing arena

i'm surprised at how desolate the arena is. this isn't a closed alpha, it's now public early access. I'm a little concerned for the future of divinity:OS2 with how few people hopped on early access and how almost nobody is actually playing arena

I would guess, the main problem of Arena are the prebuild chars?

What the arena sounded to me, was you start at level low level, perhaps 1 perhaps a bit higher. create your heros with some basic spells and then fight of against other with the same level. You win/lose, get exp, loot, gold, you buy new skills and all that.

@SniperHF The tournament armageden hosted was created through the client using global chat. I was helping him, and I can say without using a 3rd party program to assist it was pretty difficult to gather and keep track people.

I think if the client had a more structured lobby area it would facilitate player to player interaction. (that goes for campaign mode too)

Hey this is him. Yeah I'v done like a 8 player tournament and had a blast, it took about an hour due to getting people into the proper lobbies at the correct time. I organized it using google documents and my twitch stream.

I'v been keeping track of some stats and what I feel is currently too powerful and map balancing issues.

The rules for the tournament were:
Map: [4P] Ghost town (this was due to spectator mode not working so i was player 3 and just passed turn)
60s turn timer
max characters per player = 2

After the tournament people were sticking around for a little bit so we did a 2v2, and a FFA. If people are interested in playing more PvP ill be happy to organize more events.

I have had no responses on this. Is anyone going to show up on Friday? I can still try to get a makeshift tournament set up. I just need people.
