If you are a summoner do you get the passive necromancy regeneration from damage caused by your summon/totem?

I've been playing Sebille as summoner and put every combat ability point into that so far (am on level 6 so I have 8 points in Summoning).

In a way I think you should as they are your summon so it is damage you caused but both Summoning and Polymorph are badly over-powered at the moment anyway.

I can put a point in Necromancy next level and fight someone but how can I tell where any regeneration comes from? I don't understand the combat log as it doesn't seem to give enough detail. It just says things like "Sebille regained 3 vitality". From what? Who knows.

If anyone knows (or knows how to test it) it would be great.

Just tried it and necromancy only affects direct damage you deal to someones health bar(not armor), summons are not affected.

You mean that you don't get anything for your summon reducing their vit?

So a point in necro would be pointless for a summoner?

They would still benefit with Dimension Bolt, weapon attacks, and any cross classing attack.

But yes their mainstay definitely doesn't benefit (nor does Necromancy really mesh all that much with the skillset anyhow)

Necro/Summoning is actually not a bad combo, skill wise.

Summoning is the only caster skill tree, asides necromancy, that does physical damage (totems summoned in blood, incarnates summoned in blood).

I thought so.

It is your summon so you gave the damage (or caused it anyway).

I was thinking a summoner with a big shield, lots of constitution and Necro would be a valid choice.

Perhaps heal others a bit but not really.

Just continuously summon stuff and try not to die.
