In the most recent update, it's been announced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWCpzzG8dtE

Honestly, I'm so glad they could make it happen. DOS:EE was alot better because of it, and I cant wait to see (hear) what the game sounds like with the voices in the game.

I am so surprised they did it, and glad as well.
Not sure if this will be on release or on a later patch but it's awesome !

I was so absolutely thrilled when I learned this yesterday; I told all my friends. This is the final component to make this game a damn masterpiece.

Not so happy about it. Seems like a lot of money that could have been used somewhere else for a minimal gain. But - hey - it's a free addition and a nice surprise for most people.

Bad news. Will not make me stay away from playing but I hoped to avoid this often sad "help for immersion".

Well, you can turn off voice acting if you dont like it.

I was happily surprised by this too. I really enjoyed the voice acting in the first game, so more voice overs are a welcome addition for sure.
thankyou

So... what about 3rd person dialogues??

BTW, I hope NPCs will never repeat their phrases.

Mixed feelings. But of course, respect to Larian due to the massive undertaking.
