Is there any special reason why Ifan has the pet skill if you recruit him and he don´t have it, when you play him right from the beginning as origin character?

I mean, it makes no sense that he has a skill more when recruiting but not if played from beginning.
That´s the reason I dont play him from beginning on though I would like to.
After all it´s 1 valuable skill point I would invest anyway in one character because pet talk is just great.

Pet pal is skill in preset of wayfarer (his default preset), which is then not really "free", its just predetermined. You will both have same amount of talents on the same level.

Oh, ok! Ichanged the origin to knight, so the pet skill gets lost. Understood.

No, it is not lost if he is a companion and you change his starting "class". Ifan has the Pet Pal talent as special, he also has summoning a wulf as his special source skill. He maybe likes animals. I made him a Knight and he has Pet Pal and Opportunist as starting talents, together with the human talents.

You don't have it as origin because of freedom of choice.
