Glass Cannon is still garbage, the way it works reaaally needs to be rethought. As it is right now enemies magically know that you have it and will immediatly target you above all is, wading through poison fire and provoking attacks of oppurtunity, ignoring your stench and your allies taunts to come straight for the glass cannon and give him a smacking. Its stupid as hell that the only characters that benefit from Glass Cannon are retribution tanks, and the only reason thats true is because retribution is the exact same stupidity as glass cannon but in reverse.

Enemies will never target someone that has retribution, and I mean, fair enough on this point they can at least tell they are getting hurt when they attack someone with retribution, but it goes beyond all logic to the point where enemies will literally just shoot at the ground if you are the only one there.

The idea of glass cannon is supposed to be someone super squishy that does huge damage, yet the only character build that can really use it without relying on cheese tactics is a tank who doesnt care if they get CCed.

Whole-heartedly agree that glass cannon is trash. Unfortunately I got it on my main rogue which basically lets him get one attack off before being completely cc chained into death. I think glass cannon should decrease total physical/magical armor by half or a third or some significant amount, but still allow it to block statuses.

pick few points of retribution on your glass cannon, and laugh as maniac when AI tries to solve this predicament! :DD

And make your glass cannon character tanky battlemage, for uberpower =)

The problem is, is the enemies WILL focus you if you have glass cannon, this means you WILL be permanently CCed if you have it, which means the only build that works with it is full retribution because its the only build that can do damage while CCed. The problem is is that this means that you arent even getting anything out of the extra AP that glass cannon gives you because you are just perma CCed anyway and unable to attack. It doesnt matter how many points of retribution you have, if you have glass cannon they focus you, so any build that doesnt involve taking your hands off they keyboard and watching the fight and not doing any input doesnt work with glass cannon.

Nah, just bloat his constitution, retribution, perserverence and hive him all the necro points he can use for immortality.. laugh

Necro doesnt work with retribution anymore so you dont get to heal by damage reflecting, you have to actually hit enemies to heal from necro, which you will never get to do because you have glass cannon, retribution maxes out at 50% damage reflect now instead of 100% like it used to, without items, and since enemies tend to 3x the HP you do even when you use nothing but constitution, you will never have enough HP to damage reflect them to death.

Perseverance also maxes out at 50% and on top of that you have to recover from the CC in order to get back the armor which means if you never stand back up/ get unstunned, you never get armor back up.

I tried to use the talent that makes you explode for 100% of your vitality when you die, but unfortunately if you have comeback kid you dont explode when it is up so you cant do anything cool with that, same if you have the idol or rebirth.

EDIT: also that takes a lot of combat points, a total of 20 just to get 50% perseverance and 50% retribution, and if you want any skills at all you obviously have to put points other places. So 20 levels spent on something that is inferior in every way to almost any other build, just in an attempt to have a character use glass cannon, a talent that implies that you are supposed to do a shit ton of damage while being squishy.

haha, yeah, it sounds like shit :))

New idea: how about having low initiative on your glass cannons, so they go last in your turn ->have specific debuffer in your party, who can use clear the CC from you before your turn? smile Almost all CC can be cleansed as far as I know.

I am watching honor mode playthrough on youtube of fella, running with double glass cannon, and he seems to be doing quite fine so far tho

Going last is not enough disadvantage for starting always with 6 ap minimum.

Maybe for Glass Cannon armor should not protect from damage but against statuses? So the other way round as now, a kind of piercing damage effect. Would perhaps make a Glass Cannon squishy but not perma-CCed. Would also make Constitution a stat at least worth a little bit for some chars.
