My main char has some black dots and the portraits of the origin characters get replaced. I only want to change stats so i would really like to keep the hand drawn portraits of my companions. They look much better.
But the bigger issue is with my costum character who looks like he rolled in dirt now.

Portraits gets effected by the equipment your character is wearing at the moment, try stripping him/her of any equipment and access the mirror again.

The companion portraits DO get messed up. They change from their former perfect picture to a ugly zoomed up version of themselves even if you don't change anything in their looks at all and even if all you change are their attribute points.

Thanks for tip. Doesn´t work in my game tough ;P. Stripped everyone down but the portraits still change. Plus my main elf and Sebille get black dots.

Patch didn't help. Bug is still in game.

Yup, using the mirror still ruins origin character portraits. If you're playing as an origin character, it also happens at character creation (ie. game start), which is quite annoying. It happens even if you didn't change anything about the appearance or even click the tab, so yeah, the bug is definitely still in the game.
