So, at release, Reaction Shot was a bit wonky with it's detection of when someone entered or moved within it. After the patch though, the skill is just straight up broken.

From the wiki, this is the tooltip "Target a circular area. Until your next turn, you will reflexively shoot at the first three enemies moving within this area."

What actually happens when you use the skill however is as follows.
1. You chose the area you want to target
2. All characters within, enemies and allies, are immediately hit.
3. A field is left behind
4. If an enemy, not allies this time, moves within the field, you will shoot them.

I have no idea what step 2 is doing here, but it actually gets worse/better, depending on perspective. It also hits like a truck.

On my lonewolf ranger, where I currently crit for around 1.1k damage, Reaction Shot can hit for anywhere between 500-6k damage. It's seems really random. I tried ti find a pattern, if it was more damage in the centre or near the edge of the targeted area, but it just seems random so far.

This occurs both from my ranger and enemies using the skill, altough I've only noticed the ridiculous damages from myself, but the sample size from enemies are also much smaller.

Yeah, it's a known bug. I think some people have theorized that it does more damage the more people are in the radius as well.

Was there an acknowledgement from Larian games regarding this? It really should be a hotfix kind of item.

Currently struggling in act 2, paladin bridge with two of the enemy archers 1shotting me with reactive shots.

Good to know. It is quite an obvious bug but since I didn't see any threads on it, I just made one to make sure. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
