This is a awkward one, how do you answer with one movie?
Im listening to the soundtrack from Last Of The Mohicans at the moment and I feel hard pressed to find better. Its overwhelming and uplifting. I love this soundtrack. Braveheart is almost as good, but I think Mohicans has it in the bag. What themes do you like, give your opinions here.
Im curious even if no-one else is <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I will call you "Squishy", and you will be my squishy! OW! BAD SQUISHY!

Same as Jolie. And, i agree with you on your comment about the last one not being as good as well. Great minds think alike! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Gladiator as well.

Oh nice topic Mandrake <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Well there are a lot of soundtracks that I love.
- The first one is from "The Crow". There are two cds, (one with just music from Graeme Revell and one with songs from very known groups) and they both are great. In that soundtrack I discovered a very good song by Cure called "Burn". There is also a very nice song by Jesus and Mary Chain called "Snakedriver" (and you can find it only in that soundtrack) and Nine Inch Nails that I adore.
- "The last of the Mohicans". In some strange way I think that the music is Scottish. Don't know but this music moves me a lot.
- "In the name of the father" There is a song by Sinead O'Conor that I adore in there.
- "The Queen of the Damned" No need to justify why. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
- "Swing Kids" I discovered that I like swing very much and I payed a lot of money to get that cd. But it worth every cent.
- "Highlander". Well apart from the great song of Queen called "Who wants to live for ever" there are some songs from Loreena McKennit.
- "Mad Love". The movie was not a great hit but I liked it. There are songs from from Head Candy called "Mona Lisa overdrive", Magna Pop called "Slowly, Slowly" and the best from 7 Year Bitch called "The Scratch" that are really good.
- "The Craft" There is a song from Smiths in there that it is played from Love spit Love a group made by the members of Psychedelic Furs. The song is "How Soon Is Now" and I simply love that version. There is also a good song from Elastica called "Spastica".
- Blaine L. Reininger. Belgians should be proud about this artist. He is the main member of Tuxedomoon ("No Tears" does anybody knows it?) and he makes also solo albums. The movie was a Greek Movie called "Radio Moscow" and Blaine composed a great soundtrack for it. "Nightride" is one of my most fav. All Belgian forum friends should check it out.

Haven't seen queen of the damned yet, and since many of you like the soundtrack I looked it up: Wayne Static of Static-X Lyrics Not Meant For Me
David Draiman of Disturbed / KoRn Forsaken Chester Bennington of Linkin Park System Deftones Change (In the House of Flies) Marilyn Manson Redeemer Papa Roach Dead Cell Godhead Penetrate Jay Gordon of Orgy Slept So Long Disturbed Down With The Sickness Static-X Cold Earshot Headstrong Dry Cell Body Crumbles Tricky Excess Kidney Thieves Before I'm Dead
wow, I should waatch for its soundtrack only. I allready love the songs in bold, don't the others to well altho I expect greatness
Oh and I can't forget the three "Crow" movie's soundtracks!
It's one of these days...

I forgot to write last night one more soundtrack I love. It is from "The Lost Highway" movie. Great songs in there. Although there is a song from a group called This Mortal Coil that it is in the movie but it is not in the soundtrack. Some problems with the company. It is called "Song to the Shiren" but thank Gods I have the record. In the Lost Highway soundtrack there are songs from M. Manson, Rammstein etc.

I hardly listen to soundtracks, but I always liked the BLues Brothers movie soundtrack and Back to the Future. Apart from Star Wars. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

same with jolie & carrie, LOTR almost all the way (1 was so great. 2 was overwhelming. 3 was a bit confused, no outstanding theme).
another soundtrack; from games! wipeout xl (electronica), grim fandango (swing!), diablo series (it's not synth but symph), divinity (too obvious), sacrifice (ethnic), ... & more i can't remember! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />
anime movies; all studio ghibli film sountracks such as princess mononoke, castle in the sky (my fav of the bunch), spirited away, whispers of the heart, the cat returns, etc.... . of course there are others such as ghost in the shell (haunting), cowboy bebop (country + pop), etc.
other movies; trainspotting (eclectica), the full monty (naughty), ararat (all the music in this film is haunting & beautiful), enemy at the gates (love the horns & violins making contrasts), bubba ho-tep (cheesy but fun), almost all john williams's work (star wars, catch me if u can, minority report), spawn (yeah, the animated movie is better but we're talking about soundtrack), Pi (love this movie & its electronica soundtrack), amadeus (cheesy & fun), anything with yo yo ma (the cellist) in it (crouching hippo & jumping elephant, u know that film). of course there are more but my head hurts thinking of them all.
of course, Luc, queen reigns! i miss freddy mercury & his wonderful voice. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

I love "Arizona Dream" by Goran Bregovic feat. Iggy Pop - a bit strange and absolutely great
LotR I - III, too
and, of course, Blues Brothers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Yeah Cowboy Bepbop has a funky soundtrack <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I like the title song from In The Name of The Father, U2 rock and the drums go nuts in that song. Good stuff.
Ledgends of The Fall has a great soundtack despite the movie being the most depressing thing ever made (Does ANYTHING happy happen in that film?)
